Rapper Tory Lanez is asking a judge in his criminal case to allow him to publically provide and publish 'evidence' that allegedly supports his innocence, after being charged for shooting Megan The Stallion.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Lanez filed a motion in his ongoing criminal case asking for a modification of the protective order put in place by a judge, barring him from interacting with MTS in person or on social media. The reason, he claims there is evidence, including gunshot residue, which points towards his innocence.

In the filing, Tory admits the reason for the request also involves defending himself against Megan's recent public bashing of him, claiming he is guilty and is going to jail.

"Evidence provided to the defense by the prosecution in discovery contains forensic and scientific reports, as well as statements of independent third-party eyewitnesses, which directly contradict the statements of Megan P. concerning the incident," Tory's motion reads.

It continues, "There is significant evidence, provided by the People to Mr. Peterson (Tory), which contradicts Megan P. 's statements. This evidence - including gunshot residue implicating others- is mitigating, if not exculpatory, and casts serious doubt on the claims made by Megan P. The People are aware, witnesses who observed the alleged events also provide information that implicates others."

The new document also discusses the recent rumor, which circulated on social media, claiming the charges against Tory Lanez had been dropped.

"Mr. Peterson nor anyone associated with him had anything to do with those incorrect reports and made no public statements responding to them,' the filing says. As you know, Megan responded to the story by BLASTING Lanez saying, "B---h you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND B---H YOU GOING TO JAIL."

But, because of the protective order barring Tory from responding, he was unable to defend himself during the situation.

Now, Tory is asking a judge to lift the restrictions so he can publically share the information which he says points towards his innocence.

"Mr. Peterson is prohibited from disclosing any information provided to him from the prosecution, including scientific evidence and independent eyewitness accounts which differ substantially from the story being disseminated by Megan P. to these limitations, Mr. Peterson is unable to respond meaningfully to any of the statements made by Ms. P. Mr. Peterson has been careful to comply with the protective order, but at this point, the protective order is significantly prejudicial to Mr. Peterson and jeopardizes his right to a fair and judicial proceeding," it states.

At this point, the request is in the hands of the judge, it's unclear if they will allow Tory to share the 'evidence' he claims to have in his possession.
