In government, inauguration is the act of swearing in a person into office, thus such person is given a responsibility and assumes it immediately. Inaugurations occur through special events and a formal ceremony.

Barack Obama  was the first black President of the United States of America and his vice at the time, was Joe Bidden. Obama was inaugurated twice; his First Inauguration happened on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, on the West front in Washington D.C.

This event was marked the most viewed event ever by global viewers. Also concerning the inauguration, a first-ever Neighborhood Inaugural Ball where cheap tickets for citizens was made available, was hosted by the committee.

As for Obama’s Second Inauguration, it was held secretly in the Blue Room of the White House on January 20, 2013, and publicly on January 21, 2013, at the West Front in Washington D.C.

While Obama served as President of US twice, Donald Trump, served only one term as the President of the United States of America. His Inauguration took place from January 17 to 21, 2017. His vice president was Mike Pence.

A concert which was held as part of the inaugural events; there were various performance from iconic artists such as Lee Greenwood, who performed “God Bless the USA,” DJ Ravidrums, Toby Keith and American recording artist, Tim Rushlow, American singer and songwriter, Richie McDonald and American singer Larry Stewart were all in attendance.

The Inauguration of President Joe Biden took place on January 20, 2021, on the West Front in Washington D.C, and this marked the four-year term of Biden as President and Kamala Harris as his vice.

The ceremony was held amidst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and strict guidelines were adhered to, which included wearing of face masks, gloves, the application of social distancing and temperature checks.

There were various famous appearances and performances from popular people like American singer and songwriter Lady Gaga who sang the National anthem. American actress Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks also performed.

Joe Biden, served as the vice president during Obama’s tenure, and he learned a great deal from the former president. 

He and Harris his vice, won the 2020 electoral votes with a total of 306 votes, leading Trump’s 232 votes.

Biden was born November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States. He is an American politician who earned a law degree in 1968 from Syracuse University.

He was once married to Neilia Hunter Bidden, but now, he is presently married to Jill Bidden. Bidden has four children as well as grandchildren.
