Thursday was another very chaotic day in the Megan Thee Stallion vs Tory Lanez beef. Reports circulated that Megan had dropped her charges against Lanez as he is accused of shooting her in her feet last summer. This was after the two partied in Hollywood Hills, CA. She then took to Twitter to sound off on people who make her out to be the villain. 

“AT THIS POINT IM GETTING ANNOYED ! STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET. Imagine how I feel waking every day seeing people LIE and turn my trauma into a joke ? That whole team figures out ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up.”

Megan also said the reports are fake news and that she is dealing with an abuser in Lanez. She also explained how their court date got pushed back due to President Joe Biden’s inauguration. She insisted that the facts will come out and that Lanez will go to jail.

“Y’all can’t tell when shit fake news? Y’all still don’t see an ABUSER picking with me ? The first court date got pushed back bc of the inauguration but I can’t wait until the MF FACTS come out ! Bitch you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND BITCH YOU GOING TO JAIL.”

Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver, Dez Bryant, chimed in on the Megan and Lanez situation and was getting dragged on Twitter for it. Here, he made it known that he supports Lanez’s music and that there needs to be facts before Lanez is labeled as guilty.

“I like Tory lanez music the man jam period.. if the man shot a woman he wrong no buts about it… but if you think I’m going to dislike somebody without the facts.. go ahead and hate me… social media has taking away a lot of people self control..”

Shortly after Bryant’s tweet went up, there were some people who agreed with him but many flooded his mentions in support of Megan. Many said that nobody asked for Bryant opinion and labeled him an abuser as well. They cited how he was arrested for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge back in 2012. They made it clear that Megan is clearly the victim in this case and should be supported as such.

Back in October, Lanez was officially charged with felony assault. Here, he was hit with one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The Los Angeles County D.A.’s office also alleged that he caused great bodily injury to Megan. Lanez’s attorney, Shawn Holley, plead not guilty on his behalf in mid-November. If convicted in this case, Lanez could be held in prison for 22 years and eight months. The next court date will be on February 25.
