After a bombastic appearance on the Smith family’s revealing talk show “Red Table Talk,” Olivia Jade is ready to finally detail her side of the conversation with Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris, sans the aforementioned three.
In a new YouTube video that features her mother, Lori Loughlin, who is fresh out of prison for her involvement in the college admissions scandal that rocked the nation in recent years, Jade gets very candid about what went down when she sat down with the Smith family.
The Video
The 22-year-old influencer had previously given up on social media for a bit after her mother was convicted for her involvement in the 2019 scandal, but she is now back in full force and ready to share the details of her life once again, including her innermost thoughts about what happened on “Red Table Talk.”
“I think if you have any questions for me or you have anything to say or you’re like, ‘Why are you back,’ you can go watch that interview,” Jade said in the revealing new upload. “I think I kind of disclosed what I thought I needed to say on there.”
Explaining Herself
Getting more in-depth with the issue, the star’s daughter added, “Hey quick little editor’s note, because I didn’t want this to come up across the wrong way and I’d just rather say something and make the video look a little weird. I don’t mean to say that in a dismissive way or a pretentious way.”
She then elaborated on her current efforts to be a better person while attempting to come to terms with the actions she took part in previously to this conscious realization.
Apologizing For It All
“I think what I was trying to get across is that I felt like the thing I wanted to do the most is apologize for so long and I felt like I got to do that at ‘Red Table.’ And so although I can’t change the past, I can change how I act and what I do going forward. I just didn’t want anybody to take it the wrong way and it seemed like I was being like, ‘I went on ‘Red Table’ and now my name is cleared.’ Like no, that’s not it,” she added, addressing how some may have taken her appearance on the program.
Closing This Chapter
In an attempt to finally dead the controversy around herself and her mother, Jade added an explainer about why this was brought up to lead off the new video, “But just for my own mental sanity, I don’t want to keep rehashing things, I just want to move on and do better and move forward and come back and do what I love, which is YouTube. So you don’t have to watch. Nobody’s forcing you. But I didn’t want that to be misread, okay? Enjoy.”
