Rick Rosshas been one of the best and hottest rappers over the last 15 years and has always maintained a great level of consistency with his releases.
He is regarded as a legend in his hometown of Miami and is also a very successful businessman outside of the music industry. Ross recently spoke with "Undisputed" host and former Super Bowl champion, Shannon Sharpe, on Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast. Here, one topic that came up was Ross being compared to The Notorious B.I.G.
Ross Views Notorious B.I.G. Comparisons As A Compliment
Ross was fully supportive of Sharpe mentioning how he is compared to the late Brooklyn rapper. He also labeled Biggie as "somethin' special."
"I can't do nothin' but take it as a compliment but I won't play myself. Big was on somethin' else," said Ross.
"Big was just somethin' special. That era, that energy, that Tupac, that Big era, that Jay-Z—imagine what that cypher was like. And so, when I think of the records that they put together, the timeframe, the love that was put into that music, Big was most definitely, possibly my greatest ever."
Fans Await For 'Richer Than I've Ever Been' Album From Ross
Being compared to Biggie is a very huge deal. He is one of the greatest rappers to ever do it, even with only two studio albums being released before being shot and killed in Los Angeles in March 1997.
Ross has delivered many solid albums over the last 15 years and fans are hoping that his upcoming 11th studio album, "Richer Than I've Ever Been," is finally released this year. His last project was in August 2019 as it was the sequel to his 2006 debut studio album, "Port Of Miami."
Ross Recently Invested $1 Million Into Virtual Healthcare Startup Company
One of Ross' latest business endeavors involves working with Jetdoc, a virtual healthcare startup company. Here, people are able to schedule appointments with doctors virtually and offers affordable healthcare. Customers can also download the app in order to receive lower prices on their appointments. Ross poured in $1 million into this company as it is located in Florida but will expand to Georgia and Washington, D.C. soon.
“Rick Ross has been a unique individual, particularly from the African-American community, where we don’t talk about our healthcare issues publicly," said Duncan in a statement regarding the partnership. "We only deal with those things privately. And I commend him for having the courage, the leadership, to speak about his issues publicly.”
Ross Also Has Ownership In Checkers And Wingstop Restaurants
Ross continues to show why he's one of the biggest bosses in the game. Some of his other business endeavors include ownership in Checkers and Wingstop restaurants in various states. This has been a huge example of investments paying off along with being able to earn residual income.
Even when Ross is officially done making music, he will still have multiple streams of income from funds such as revenue earned from Wingstop and Checkers. Jetdoc is another solid investment for Ross and expect him to keep on making other smart moves as well.
