Heather Rae El Moussa Shares Early Complications With Breastfeeding Newborn: 'Felt So Defeated'

Heather Rae El Moussa is getting candid about her breastfeeding experience with her baby. 

Previously, the mother-of-one hinted to her millions of followers that she would openly talk about her journey with breastfeeding and dish on some of the complications that came with it for Inspiration purposes. Undoubtedly, that is precisely what she did with the recent update she shared on her social media page.

The 35-year-old took to her Instagram page with a pair of photos that showed her having a relaxing day with her tiny tot. In the pictures, the "Selling Sunset" star wore a black outfit consisting of joggers and a top paired with an off-white fur coat and dark-frame sunglasses.

She styled her blonde hair in a bun and decorated it with a pink clip. Sitting on the mustard couch with her pet dog, she wrapped her son, dressed in a black and white onesie, in her arms. To begin the beautiful message in the caption, the real estate agent partly wrote:

"Have been in mama hibernation mode for the past couple weeks but soaking up some fresh air today with my lovey ?? As promised, I want to talk to you guys about my breastfeeding journey because it's definitely been a journey !! I thought.... I'll just pop him on my boob and feed him anytime. Ya no!!!"

She also expressed that her baby boy had some difficulties, such as "tongue tie, cheek tie, lip tie, and jaundice," which prevented him from latching earlier on, eventually leading to his weight loss. However, she noted that a specialist, "@tonguetietribe," caught the problem immediately and provided natural solutions.

To end the wordy message, the new mom shared tips that helped boost her nutrition while breastfeeding. Finally, she penned, "Even with all this going on, I genuinely love breastfeeding. I love the skin to skin connection and think it's such a beautiful bonding experience. It might be hard and challenging at the moment but it is such a special experience that I get to share with our baby boy and we're working together to make it easier like we're a little team ??."

Not long after she dropped the post, Heather's followers filled her comment section with much appreciation for the honesty and transparency. One follower wrote, "Thank you for sharing the real and raw! ?.” 

A second fan remarked, "We need more people like you being transparent! Normalize the struggles and tears. Thank you!" A confident fan advised her by stating, "Just remember, if breastfeeding doesn't work out, it's OK to switch to a bottle."

To commend the TV personality, someone wrote, "You are a natural and he is so precious?." Another person wrote, "Good for you for hanging in there- it will get better! I always felt like around 6 weeks it got easier. Hang in there!"

On the heels of this breastfeeding message was a picture the "Love in the Time of Machines" actress shared about a week ago. The Blast noted that the upload was to celebrate love week.

In the snap, the reality TV star kissed and snuggled with her son, who lay on her bare chest without clothes. The caption read, "It's love week, and we're definitely feeling it over here ❤️???. Lots and lots of kissing, snuggling, skin on skin, and holding our lover boy…. We can't get enough ?."

Per reports, the post attracted loving comments for the mother-son duo from the actress' friends and fans. Gretchen Christine  Rossi gushed, "Omg this is soo beautiful my friend ❤️❤️❤️." One anxious fan questioned, "Are we ever going to see his face? ?.”

Giving fans an unfiltered look at her life after navigating her first week as a mom, the California native showcased her post-childbirth body. As reported by The Blast, the selfie, taken in the reflection of a closet mirror, showed the former model in red plaid pajamas with the top raised, revealing her post-baby bump.

In the caption that accompanied the picture, Heather wrote, "1 week postpartum, My activities include breast-feeding, pumping repeat," suggesting to her social media admirers that she was in full mummy rotation.

The other post showed the diary she will likely use to write letters to her son, Tristan, as she watches him grow. She tagged the image "Tuesday vibes."
