Kellie Pickler is grieving the unexpected and shocking loss of her husband, Kyle Jacobs.

The country singer’s husband committed suicide on February 17th at their Tennessee home.

The Nashville Police Department responded to a call at her Nashville-area home on Friday after a call was made about a man shooting and killing himself on the property.

It tragically turns out the man was Pickler’s significant other.

Jacobs was locked inside a room upstairs while Pickler was downstairs. She had been sleeping, but woke up a short time before he took his life.

When she wasn’t able to open the upstairs bedroom door, Pickler and her assistant called 911.

The couple starred on three seasons of CMT’s “I Love Kellie Pickler” from 2015 to 2017.

Pickler and Jacobs wed in 2011. The couple had a shared love for country music. He was a country music songwriter for heavyweights like Tim McGraw, Kelly Clarkson, Garth Brooks, Darius Rucker and more.

Kyle Jacobs Was Celebrating One Day Before His Suicide

In the days prior to his suicide, The 49-year-old was reportedly happy and celebratory.

Much like Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Jacobs’ last social media post before his death was filled with joy and happiness.

Jacobs shared a post about Lee Brice’s album, “Hey World,” going Certified Platinum. He played guitar and produced the album.

“Platinum?! SWEEEET!!! An amazing crew of incredibly talented peeps put this one together…Deeply honored to be a creative part of it…Thank you Jesus!!!” he captioned the post.

As anyone can collect from this post, there is nothing but excitement, celebration and happiness exuding from the caption.

He shared the post just one day before taking his life.

tWitch also shared an upbeat post days before taking his own life.

There Are Tragic Similarities Between tWitch & Jacobs' Suicides

On December 11, 2022, tWitch shared a video where he’s dancing with his wife, Allison Holker.

He captioned the video, “Holiday Sunday Funday Dance! With my lover!!”

Two days later, the former ‘Ellen Show’ DJ checked into the Oak Tree Inn and was found deceased in his room.

tWitch died from a gunshot wound to the head.

The TV personality left behind his wife and three children.

A private funeral ceremony was held in early January and included only immediate family; however, a public memorial was held over the weekend of February 10th.

More Than 500 People Gather To Celebrate tWitch's Life

The Blast recently reported on his celebration of life ceremony.

The memorial service saw several guests give emotional speeches alongside musical and dance performances. His family also shared that they were carrying on tWtich’s legacy through a foundation targeted at spreading love and mental awareness.

On Saturday, February 11th, a memorial service was held in honor of DJ tWitch after he passed on at the age of 40.

The emotional event, which took place in Los Angeles, saw over 500 friends, colleagues, and family attend to pay their last respects to the late dancer.

Some of the guests in attendance included Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Thacker, Derek Hough, AJ McLean, Robin Antin, and Wayne Brady.

Additionally, the cast and crew from “So You Think You Can Dance” and the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” also showed up.

Following his death, Holker filed a court petition to access half of their shared property as he passed on without a will.
