Christine And Kody Brown Ended Their Spiritual Marriage In 2021
Christine and her former partner Kody were the focus of their "Sister Wives" reality show, which explored their polygamous relationship. She was the first of his four partners to leave their marriage arrangement, although the former couple was never legally married.
Christine and Kody share custody of their six kids, whom they had over their 25 years together. They announced they were separating in November 2021, and Christine then moved to Utah with her youngest daughter, 12-year-old Truely.
The breakup was the beginning of the end of their plural marriage, as Kody's other partners subsequently ended their relationships with him. Janelle, with whom Kody has six kids, broke up with him in 2022, and Meri, his first legal wife, has also left him. Kody now lives with his wife, Robyn, whom he married in 2014, in an effort to "legally restructure" the whole family.
