"Law and Order: SVU" actress Mariska Hargitay has been teasing her fans with pictures of Chris Meloni for a while now, and things have just gotten "closer", as she says. 

For all those who don't know much about the series, Mariska Hargitay plays Lt. Olivia Benson on it. A decade ago, when Benson was a detective, she was partnered with Det. Elliot Stabler, as in Christopher Meloni. 

And now, it seems, the duo will come together again and Instagram is screaming with excitement, and so is Ariel Winter... 

Mariska Hargitay may be one of the TV's most influential women and one of its highest-paid stars, but she also an activist and a staunch Biden supporter. And while she and Christopher Meloni reuniting onscreen is making waves, her posts generate plenty of positivity. 

Like the one where she posted this picture, supporting Melissa McCarthy's foundation, enough for a fan to comment, "Your friendship with Melissa was so unexpected but at the same time so amazing bc you both are amazing and necessary! Ily M ❤?"

Christopher Meloni will be reprising his role as Elliot Stabler in Law & Order: SVU before he gets his own spin-off, Law & Order: Organized Crime.
