Jordyn Woods' boyfriend, Karl-Anthony Towns has tested positive for COVID-19 just months after losing his mother to the deadly virus.

The 'Minnesota Timberwolves' star announced the devastating news on Instagram, just hours before his NBA team was supposed to take the court. As we reported, the actress and model has been dating the basketball player for the past few months and is supporting him after going public with his diagnosis.

Shockingly, Towns went public late last year that he has lost SEVEN family members to the brutal virus -- and now he is forced to live through it again. Now, Jordyn is speaking out about the scary situation.

"Prior to tonight's game, I received yet another awful call that I tested positive for COVID. I will immediately isolate and follow every protocol. I pray every day that this nightmare of a virus will subside and beg everyone to continue to take it seriously by taking all the necessary precautions. We cannot stop the spread of this virus alone, it must be a group effort by all of us," Karl-Anthony posted on Instagram.

Adding, "It breaks my heart that my family, and particularly my father and sister continue to suffer from the anxiety that comes along with this diagnosis as we know all too well what the end result could be."

The NBA star then addressed his young family members, saying, "To my niece and nephew, Jolani and Max, I promise you I will not end up in a box next to grandma and I will beat this."

Woods broke her silence on the situation, asking fans to 'send prayers' for her boyfriend and his family.

“Praying for you babe. I know you’re going to pull through. God’s got you and so does your most powerful guardian Angel up there…you’re one of the strongest people I know,” she tweeted. Also asking her followers to, “Please send some prayers up.”

After the loss of his mother, Karl opened up about the devastating situation in a YouTube video titled, “The Toughest Year Of My Life."

“It hurts so bad. Every day,” he said.

The NBA star described the terrible decision after the family was forced to make by 'pulling the plug' on his 59-year-old mother.

“At that moment, I pulled the plug, and I just let her pass…They told me, ‘She may be alive for another hour, maybe two, but she’s been fighting for a long time’," he said while fighting back tears.

At this point, it's unclear if Jordyn has also tested positive for the virus, but has not addressed it either way.
