Savannah Chrisley longs for something special in her life amid her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley's incarceration and a few days after the highly cherished Valentine's Day.
The reality star has been an open book about her parents' situation since their conviction, and now she is letting her fans know how much she misses her father's smile.
Savannah Chrisley Misses Dad's Smile With Throwback Photo Of Him
Savannah is indeed her father's daughter as she never ceases to show him support whenever she gets to during his imprisonment. She took to her Instagram Stories not long ago, sharing a throwback picture of the real estate tycoon smiling brightly while using his phone in what may be a restaurant.
"Missing this smile a little extra today," the TV personality wrote on the post adding two distressed emojis indicating how terrible she felt.
In a second Story update, she snapped herself smiling with headphones on while holding a bottled drink beneath her chin. Fans only got to see her upper body, dressed in a colorful tie-dye long-sleeved blouse, and her hair was stuffed into a black baseball cap.
Adding a text overlay on the image, Savannah expressed thanks with candid words that read, "A little glimpse of happiness in the midst of a storm… grateful." This comes on the heels of her opening up about being a trying spot on her podcast, precisely one week after her parents were taken to prison.
In a January 31st episode of "Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley," recorded seven days before, the dejected daughter touched on living the most difficult week of her life without her parents. Savannah admitted that the situation had been challenging to comprehend and while caring for two children whom she also helped with processing the trauma.
"On the 17th, that was the report date for my parents," Savannah explained. "And never in a million years did I think about both of my parents, one of my parents, let alone both of them, entering into a federal prison." She went on, "There's been a lot of tears shed, a lot of anger, a lot of screaming, a lot of just completely being broken."
Speaking of breakdowns, her younger brother, whom she had custody over, Grayson Chrisley, had one after his parents were locked up. The podcaster shared, "Gray had a breakdown, and he's trying to process my parents and the situation that they're in and how that's not the image that he wants to have of them."
She added that the 16-year-old had grown up "so much," and it saddened her that their parents were missing out on the development. Todd and Julie are currently serving a combined sentence of 19 years, with the former serving 12 years with 16 months probation and the latter being given seven years with the same probation period.
The couple insisted on their innocence and intends to appeal to the court later this month. Meanwhile, their daughter has had to figure out how to rebuild her life and is getting there step by step. Recalling her visit to her parents in prison, she confessed that the experience calmed her and made her hopeful, as she had never felt Jesus' presence more than she did in the room.
Even so, she remained heartbroken, knowing she may never see her parents, whom she has known for all of her 25 years, in the "free world" for a long time.
The "Growing Up Chrisley" Star Fumes Over Father Having A Similar Sentence To A Murderer
The 25-year-old got into a rage toward the end of last month, given that her father's 12-year sentence was similar to that of a murderer. The podcast host expressed her frustration on the gram using a breaking news headline about the killer getting 13 years in prison for shooting and killing another man walking his kids.
Savannah, believing it was unfair, demanded an explanation as she wrote, "Hmmm…make it make sense" before elaborating in a following video.
She could not accept the reactions she got from her first post as she said, "Something I really wanna address about the last thing I posted, I'm getting responses saying he pled guilty." The "Chrisley Knows Best" believed such a plea did not warrant the murderer getting a reduced sentence, later leading her to proclaim, "We live in a world where money means more than a human life."
