Skorts, which are a combination of shorts and a skirt, seem to have gone out of style lately. However, it looks like the Russian-American former artistic gymnast plans to bring them back around for her latest fashion video!

It looks like the five-time Olympic gold medalist is not going to let a few critics stop her from sharing her fashion videos with her 1.1 million Instagram followers! In her latest Instagram post, Nastia shares a short video clip that features her getting dressed set to the tune of “Matter of Time.”
In the video, Nastia begins by slipping on a long-sleeve tan jacket over a black bra. The color of the jacket perfectly matches her tan skort, which is already pulled high up over her waist. After buttoning up the front of the jacket, the camera pans out to show Nastia taking a seat and adjusting her black boots.
She then turns to face the camera to give fans a full view of her outfit. In the caption, she tagged @ganni for the boots and @zara for the top and the skort. “Ps can we make skorts cool again??” she asked. Some fans loved the outfit but loved the aesthetic of her room even more.
“But wait I love the aesthetic of this room!! Full tour please,” one fan asked. “Thank you!!! Coming SOON,” Nastia replied. ‘But also I posted a reel a few weeks ago with some more detailed shots of this room!”
“This is so cute on you,” another follower chimed in. “Love the look,” a third fan agreed. “Unreal,” another follower commented. “Gorgeous,” another fan wrote. “Omggg SO CUTE. Love this fit,” another follower shared. “Always had a crush on you,” another fan gushed. “You’re so pretty in that outfit,” another follower shared.
“May I ask your weight/training regimen?” another user asked. Although Nastia thanked several fans for their compliments, she did not respond to this comment. In fact, the 33-year-old athlete has disabled comments on several of her Instagram videos over the past week due to inappropriate comments about her weight.
Nastia Disabled Comments On Her Post After Followers Speculated About Her Weight Loss
Fans who have been following Nastia’s career for a while know that the 2008 Olympic all-around champion has always had a petite frame at 5’3”, but fans have been worried about her getting skinnier than usual. On February 5, Nastia posted a video on Instagram that featured wearing a sweater and a patchwork skirt from Zara.
However, she had to disable the comments after several users said that she was too thin. Some users even went as far as to speculate that she was struggling with an eating disorder.
“I know you’ll just delete this or turn off commenting, but as someone who’s struggled for years with an eating disorder myself – you look like you need help,” one follower shared. “Not suggesting that you have any particular diagnosis, but these posts raise such red flags for me.”
“You look stunning and I’ve loved you ever since I was an elite gymnast. But you look really really thin. As long as you are happy and okay who cares but you look really really thin in a not so healthy way,” another user commented.
Other users said that it was “alarming” how skinny she was getting while others criticized her appearance. One user left a comment saying “She doesn’t even look appealing! She is skin and bone” while another follower asked, “Can I buy you a meal, please?”
Fortunately, there were several followers who stood up for Nastia. “How about you worry about your own bodies and stop criticizing hers, considering you haven’t lived a day in her shoes… or even know her personally, for that matter!” one user commented. “Call it what it is. You’re not ‘expressing concerns…’ you’re passing judgments.”
“Let her family and close friends express their concerns if they feel there is a reason to be concerned and keep your judgments to yourself,” they continued. “Nastia, I hope the good comments stand out more than these rude ones because you look fabulous in this outfit! Just like all the other looks you post! Love it!”
