Will they or won't they?
That's the question on everyone's mind as they await a possible divorce announcement from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Rumors of a split have followed the couple since last year, and now they're gaining more steam. The latest reports say that despite counseling, the couple's marriage is beyond repair.
Kim has reached her limit with Kanye and is preparing for divorce.
To fans this is no surprise given everything that's happened with the couple in recent months. But there may have been other contributing factors in their upcoming split.
2020 Tested Kim And Kanye
Kim and Kanye's marriage was put through the ringer in 2020.
Reports of trouble in paradise first began in April while the couple was in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic. An overwhelmed Kim thought Kanye wasn't doing his part in helping with the kids, and this led to a lot of arguing between the two.
But their problems ramped up in July during Kanye's political rally in South Carolina. The 43-year-old rapper revealed that he and Kim contemplated getting an abortion when she was pregnant with their daughter North.
That wouldn't be the last shocking details Kanye would reveal. Days later he went on a Twitter tirade saying he'd been trying to divorce Kim for over a year, and that his wife had cheated on him with rapper Meek Mill.
Kanye, who was going through a bipolar episode during that time later deleted the tweets and apologized to his wife. Kim then made a public plea asking for everyone to show compassion for Kanye as he struggled through his latest bipolar episode.
Since then the couple's marriage has been in a state of disarray.
'KUWTK' Was A Source Of Contention
Aside from Kanye's bipolar episode and Twitter tirade, there were other problems in the couple's marriage.
One of them was Kim's reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
The show is what made Kim and her family famous. Thanks to the show's success, 40-year-old Kim has gone on to become a successful businesswoman with her fashion and cosmetics line earning her a net worth close to a billion dollars.
Although Kim had other projects, "KUWTK" remained her staple.
Just like the rest of the family, Kim's personal life was often the focus of the show. After her and Kanye's wedding in 2014, the rapper made rare appearances, but was featured prominently like the rest of the Kardashian significant others.
While Kanye didn't appear on "KUWTK," he and Kim's four children often made special appearances.
Not On The Same Page
Kanye's refusal to be part of "KUWTK" was just one of the ongoing problems the couple faced throughout their six-year marriage.
The show is very important to Kim, and she was hurt that Kanye didn't want to do it.
As for Kanye, the rapper didn't like cameras following him around or paparazzi hounding them everywhere they went.
Although Kanye was willing to help his wife with her other business ventures, "KUWTK" was one project he didn't want to be part of.
For years, the couple argued about "KUWTK," and Kim became upset with Kanye's refusal. She believed she's done a lot to help him, but he wouldn't do the same for her.
Divorce Imminent?
Kim and Kanye have faced their share of issues throughout the years, now it looks like their marriage is crumbling under the pressure.
The mom of four is reportedly fed up with Kanye's chaos. She tried to help Kanye through his struggle with bipolar disorder, but he's not making any effort on his end.
Kim doesn't want her marriage to end, but she realizes she needs to do what's best for her and her kids.
However, the Skims founder is reportedly in no rush to file papers, even though she knows her marriage is broken.
