There’s no doubt that COVID-19 restrictions in many states have devastated businesses, especially local small ones. One individual who has stepped up in a major way for these small businesses lately though is Barstool Sports CEO, Dave Portnoy.
He’s been raising millions of dollars that are being funded in order to support these businesses. This comes after he took to Twitter to express disappointment in New York City banning indoor dining at restaurants as that took the blame for COVID-19 infection rates.
Kodak Black Pitches In With The Barstool Fund
At this point, over $22 million has been raised by Portnoy for these businesses in his Barstool Fund. Contributions have flown in from celebrities such as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and more. Now, the latest celeb to do so is Florida rapper, Kodak Black, who is incarcerated. Black found out about what Portnoy has been doing and is deciding to donate $50,000.

Portnoy Shows Appreciation For Kodak’s Donation
Shortly after Kodak‘s announcement for his generous donation for the Barstool Fund, Portnoy quickly replied to him on Twitter. Portnoy said “Let’s go!” and even teased the idea of Kodak making a presidential run in 2024.
Kanye West created a whole campaign and oddly got over 60,000 votes so this wouldn’t be a surprise if they did run. Portnoy tends to lean to the right as he interviewed Donald Trump in 2020 as well. Kodak also oddly endorsed Trump in October.

Kodak May Get Pardoned By Donald Trump
There have been reports over the past weekend that Donald Trump may be pardoning rappers such as Lil Wayne and Kodak Black. Many are questioning this possible motive as to why Trump possibly does this. Some believe that it is to shut down the belief that he is racist and bigoted in general.
Prior to the 2020 election, Kodak endorsed Trump’s “Platinum Plan” for Black America as this was sent to him by his attorney. Trump’s last day in the office is January 19 so, we will all see if this pardon does in fact have a chance at happening.
