Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa Unveil Baby Boy's Name And Face

Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa have unveiled their baby's face and name!

The couple welcomed their first child together on January 31, announcing the arrival a few days later in a joint social media post. The ecstatic parents have now shown the face and told the world of their baby's name, along with an explanation for their choices. This would be the third child for Tarek, who shares two children, Brayden and Taylor, with his ex-wife, Christina Hall.

Throughout her nine-month journey, Heather ensured that she gave her three million followers a regular "baby update." The reality star proved that the tradition would continue two weeks after she welcomed her first baby boy.

To that end, the "Selling Sunset" star and her beau posted two pictures of their son resting on his mother's chest in the hospital. While Heather wore a black off-the-shoulder outfit in the first photo that showed her smiling, the second featured her in a black pajama as she and Tarek kissed. The new mom began the caption by writing:

"We'd like to introduce Tristan Jay El Moussa to the world 6:55am 1-31-23 7lbs 7oz Tristan was the name that Tarek was supposed to have, Jay is my dads middle name & 4 generations of Jay."

Heather then shared details about "some scary moments leading up" to Tristan's arrival. In her words, "had scar tissue built up from a biopsy I had years ago, which affected my cervix softening & water breaking. Once at the hospital I was given 1/2 a pill of Cytotec to soften cervix, balloon went in. 2 hours later I was dilated to a 4."

Three hours after the balloon fell out, she had "dialated to a 6, then a few minutes an 8 then 15 minutes later my water broke!" As it turned out, her son was not ready to leave the womb yet as his heart rate dropped "very low every time" his mother was asked to push.

Despite facing the challenge of getting him "out right away," Heather gave four more powerful pushes while her doctor used a "vacuum to help get him out fast or otherwise we would have to do an emergency C-section."

After acknowledging her husband's presence by her side, the 35-year-old explained that she pushed "so hard all the blood vessels broke in my face and chest." Amid all the confusion and fear, Tristan finally pushed through, looking "healthy and beautiful."

"I was in a state of shock[,] it was a surreal experience. I was emotional and drained & so in love already. It was scary, but beautiful & I had the best support from Tarek, my incredible @drlisakaramardian and all the nurses at Hoag," she continued.

The blonde star concluded that she and Tarek were just "so happy to share Tristan" and some of their  "birth story with the world." "Awww Heather I am so happy you have a happy healthy little one. He is so loved already," her Netflix co-star Chrishell Stause commented.

Another co-star, Chelsea Lazkani, wrote, "Omg what a beautiful birthday story! We love you already Tristan," and "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum Gretchen Rossi exclaimed, "Love it soo much!!! ??? Can't wait to meet him!"

Heather had initially teased her followers by asking them to guess which name she and Tarek landed in for their son's name, which The Blast reported last month. She had captioned an Instagram pic of her and her husband grinning at each other; "Smiling because only a few people guessed his name ? ???"

The social media influencer's comment section quickly filled up with people suggesting names like Luca (or Lucas), Mason, Grayson, Sailor, Cayden, and Mickey.

One week after she became a mom, Heather updated her fans on her new journey. The Blast noted that the "Love in the Time of Machines" actress shared a 20-second clip to her Instagram Story, saying:

"So I have been a little out of commission because I've been busy with a little angel baby boy and just getting used to new mommyhood."

She explained that even though she was "bummed" about not seeing the reveal of one of the houses for their HGTV series, "The Flipping El Moussas," she "would not want to be anywhere else" RT than with her "little love today."

Heather and Tarek had announced the arrival of their bundle of joy on February 3 with an Instagram post that excludes his face. The twosome simply shared his birth date and that their hearts were happy at becoming parents.
