'RHOD' Star Stephanie Hollman On Season Five Marriage Drama With Husband Travis

Stephanie Hollman and her husband, Travis Hollman, experienced marital drama during filming on "The Real Housewives of Dallas" season five and during an interview with Hollywood Life last week, Stephanie opened up about the hardships they faced in 2020.

"There was definitely some tension," Stephanie admitted.

According to Stephanie, she was inspired to return to her love for social work during season five and because that meant Travis would have more work of his own, he wasn't always on board with the idea.

"We definitely bicker back and forth in real life. He will say something, I will snap back. Bickering is probably part of our love language which isn’t maybe the most amazing thing, but this year, I really wanted to go back to my roots on something I love, which is social work and social service," Stephanie explained to the outlet. 

"I wanted to start my own foundation and I kind of did that through the use of our company," she continued.

Because Stephanie used her and Travis' company to get back to her career in social work, Travis often felt overwhelmed by the project.

"He was not always supportive... because it would put a lot of work on his shoulders so there was definitely some tension," Stephanie shared.

Although the couple went through drama during season five, Stephanie said she didn't hesitate to feature her relationship challenges on "The Real Housewives of Dallas" because she feels Travis is a very authentic member of the cast.

"The thing I love the most about doing this with Travis and the thing I hate the most about doing this with Travis is he does not care what people think of him which is a great thing on a reality show!" Stephanie explained. "You either love him or hate him, he is who he is."

Stephanie went on to say that she and Travis got on one another's nerves on occasion amid the coronavirus pandemic, and expectedly so.

"We were together a lot during quarantine, and he annoyed me sometimes," she shared.

"I’m sure I did the same thing to him," Stephanie continued. "I don’t know. I’m on a reality show so I feel you have to show that part or it would be weird if he was rude and I would sit there and be like, ‘OK!’"

Stephanie has been featured on "RHOD" in a full-time role for all of its five seasons.
