The retired fútbol player admitted he is a “puppet” following his breakup from Shakira.
Gerard Piqué Says He’s A “Puppet”
While speaking to Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, Piqué explained the person who helps him with his style is his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
“The truth is I go with my girlfriend to the shops and she buys them for me,” the athlete said. “I’m a puppet.”
This statement comes less than a month after he went Instagram official with his Kosmos employee and 23-year-old girlfriend.
He and Marti have become the most despised pairing among Shakira’s fanbase.
Shakira’s Fan Caused Clara To Go Into Hiding
Following the release of her ‘Music Sessions’ Bizarrap collaboration, Marti was hospitalized due to the constant trolling from Shakira fans.

She compared Piqué’s new girlfriend to a Casio watch and Twingo.

It’s been reported that the singer’s diehard fanbase have taken the song as an opportunity to troll Marti in public.
According to Spanish news outlet, Marca, Marti has sought refuge from the public at her parent’s home.
She’s sought out therapy to control her anxiety issues which have increased due to the song.

Shakira’s ‘BZRP’ has reportedly “taken a toll” on Marti, and her state of mind is “not good.”
“They stop her on the street to ask her who she is, they sing the song to her, everyone recognizes her, and she is quite a shy girl,” Spanish journalist Lorena Vazquez said.
Clara’s Mood Is “Not Good”
“She has been at her parents’ house for about eight days, working from home,” Saul Ortiz, another Spanish journo, added. “She has needed a shelter because her mood is not good. There has been a permanent guard and he has not been seen to leave. She has needed assistance at other more special levels, from experts.”
Piqué doesn’t seem as bothered or affected by Shakira’s lyrics.
He seemingly made light of the song just days after it’s posthumous release.
Piqué was seen driving a Twingo and wearing a Casio watch. He smiled and laughed while paparazzi took his photo.
Shakira has been relishing in the song’s popularity, which has spread like wildfire on TikTok.

She also reportedly gave Marti a nickname before she even knew she was a threat to her relationship with Piqué.
Its rumored Shakira found evidence that Piqué was leading a double life and eventually found him sleeping with a mystery woman in their bed.

That has yet to be revealed, but given the timing of their relationship going public, it’s easy to assume she may have been the woman.
Regardless of who it was, a new report states that Shakira had her reservations about the 23-year-old long before her breakup from Piqué.
When Shakira and the fútbol star were still dating and in each other’s good graces, the Colombian-native met Marti.
At the time, Shakira didn’t pay too much mind to Marti given she was a very basic girl.
“She passed unnoticed, Shakira never saw a danger because she is not a stunning woman, she is a rather normal girl,” a source revealed to Spanish news outlet, Marca.
However, that didn’t stop the singer from giving the young intern a nickname.
Per the report, Shakira referred to Marti as “mosquita muerta,” which literally translates to “Little dead fly.”
