The Weeknd has been a top-charting artist for some time now. Many fans would say that they first heard about him after he released his album "Beauty Behind the Madness"  in 2015, which contains the single “Can’t Feel My Face”, though it may be a surprise to learn that he started making music as far back as 2010!

He started making music and releasing it to YouTube anonymously at first, but a year later began releasing mixtapes, specifically those named "House of Balloons", "Thursday", and "Echoes of Silence". He gained the notice of a record label and signed with Republic Records in 2012.

The news has been covering various aspects of the “Earned It” singer (full name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye) with highlights including how The Grammy’s pretty much snubbed him not giving him any award nominations.

But nothing can compare to the shock and bewilderment surrounding the “Starboy” artist revealing the results of what appears to be some of the strangest plastic surgery ever seen.

To be fair, the last decade or so has been quite a shocking one in terms of how much surgery has been going around, but this is something else.

Transformation Or Evolution?

Although the reception has been mostly negative, prior to the release of this massive cosmetic change, The Weeknd shared how he’s felt that his voice and music has evolved as he’s gotten older, so does he really care about what the fans think?

‘“My natural singing voice was inspired and shaped by Ethiopian music,” he shared. “The older I got, I was exposed to more music, and my voice became a chameleon going into different characters with each album. By following my own path and breaking industry norms, it seems to be influencing others.”

He continued by sharing how the past year in 2020 has influenced him greatly, encouraging him to be focused on his music more than ever:

“I have been more inspired and creative during the pandemic than I might normally be while on the road…The pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement and the tensions of the election have mostly created a sense of gratitude for what I have and closeness with the people near me,” he revealed.

“I was laser focused back then and I’m laser focused right now. This has been the story of my 20s.”

Could it be that this is but the next evolution of this mega-star artist?
