Madison LeCroy showed off her Charleston home to Bravo last year, ahead of the season seven premiere of "Southern Charm," but unfortunately, she was unable to remain living in the charming abode through the pandemic.
As fans watched as her relationship with Austen Kroll came to an abrupt end during filming last year, Madison was forced to move out of the home and into a small apartment with her young son.
In an interview with the Bravo Insider earlier this week, Madison confirmed her relocation.
Madison LeCroy Did Not Want To Purchase Her Charleston Rental
"My old house actually [belonged to] a really good friend of mine who was traveling and doing this and that. I was trying to search for a house downtown and he said, 'Well I’m going to put my house up for rent. I would love you to stay there,'" Madison recalled. "When the pandemic happened, he’s like, 'I’m gonna have to sell the house for financial purposes.'"
Although Madison "totally understood" the decision, she didn't want to buy the home herself.
"It wasn’t the house for me, as far as to purchase, because there was absolutely no closet space," she explained. "Even though I love the house so much."
Madison LeCroy's Charleston Rental Was Her First Post-Divorce Residence
While Madison was on board with relocating from her rental home, she was surprised to learn she would have to vacate her place quickly after the property sold in just two days.
"The woman didn’t even walk inside of the house before the house was sold. So then I was like, 'What am I gonna do?'" Madison said.
Looking back, Madison loved the time she spent in the home.
"It was the first house I had after my divorce. I took such good care of it because it [belonged to] a friend of mine and I enjoyed going and cutting the grass and doing the yard and things like that," she admitted.
Madison LeCroy Is Temporarily Living In An Apartment
Following the sale of her home, Madison was able to quickly find a new place to live with her son Hudson, 8. However, her new apartment is "on the other side of town" from where they lived prior.
"I had a friend who lived on the third floor of where I live now and they said that this apartment just became available...I immediately said, 'I’ll take it' as soon as I walked in,'" she revealed.
That said, she doesn't believe she will stay long.
"I don’t think that I will be here that long just because I haven’t lived in an apartment in over two years and having people around me is — you know, a dog is jumping off of a bed upstairs and I can hear everything," she explained.
Madison LeCroy Is Okay In Her Apartment, For Now
"I need a yard, so I’m on the hunt. I’m hunting for a lot of things [and] a house is one of them. But right now this house is perfect, it does the job," Madison continued.
"I just don’t want to move out of downtown," she said. "That’s kind of been the struggle. My parents want me to build a house on Daniel Island [but] I don’t know if I’m ready quite yet. I love the downtown scene. I’m very picky when it comes to something like that... I want it to be just right."
To see more of Madison and her co-stars, tune into the seventh season of "Southern Charm" on Thursday nights at 9/8c on Bravo.
