Kristin Cavallari Is 'Back' To Her 'Old Self'

Following a harrowing divorce from pro baseball player Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari is seemingly finally making some positive progress as a single individual.

The 34-year-old former reality star decided to use her personal Instagram page as the platform to discuss the positive changes in her life as of late, reflecting via a birthday snap caption about the countless pitfalls and successes she has endured over the course of the last year, and what she plans to do moving forward in 2021.

The black and white snapshot, which was taken in a restaurant seemingly for her birthday dinner, Cavallari touched on her year and what it has meant to her overall.

"33 was a crazy year to say the least. The ups and downs, highs and lows. But I can honestly say it was one the best years of my life," the star captioned the snap. "Lots of growth and opportunity. I feel like I’m back to my old self and it feels really damn good. This is 34."

After 10 years together, Cavallari and Cutler announced their split last April. The pair shares three children together, sons Camden, 8, and Jaxon, 6, and daughter Saylor, 5.

For her big day, Cavallari posted multiple snaps to her Instagram story about celebrating, captioning one photo of her and her kid's facing the other way with "Bday squad."

Another story post was captioned with, "Spending my birthday with my favorite people," a clear indicator of how happy the star was to spend her birthday with family.

During a September chat with Entertainment Tonight, Cavallari told correspondent Lauren Zima that she is doing well as a single woman.

"I'm excited about the next chapter. I have hard days, without a doubt, and right now I'm really just focusing on my kids and making sure that my kids are good," she said, adding, "That's my only priority at the moment, and they're handling it well. I'm just trying to stay positive and focus on all of the positive things. But I have sad days, without a doubt."

Beyond spending quality time with her family, Cavallari admits that she has been seeing comedian Jeff Dye frequently, and that their romantic relationship is growing by the day.

"Initially Kristin wasn’t looking for a full-on relationship, but things have definitely progressed between them," a source mentioned to the publication about how the former reality star is moving on from Cutler in the months following their split. "They share the same sense of dry humor and are now making more plans [to see each other]."
