Dove Cameron's Shirtless Tattoo Showoff Clocks 1 Million Views Overnight

Dove Cameron shirtless and braless clocked the 24-year-old over 1.2 million views before the sun rose today. The actress and singer, who boasts at least 13 inkings on her body, is fresh from revealing a brand new one, with her 38.7 million Instagram followers getting a big showoff on Tuesday evening. Dove, known for her snake foot tattoo and one she got to commemorate deceased "Descendants" co-star Cameon Boyce, went deep with this one, also a little scientific. Check it out below.

Scroll for the video. Dove, who opened up about mythicism in her 2020 Byrdie quarantine Zoom as she spoke about her snake tattoo, was showcasing something much further up, here. The "We Belong" singer's video came as a low-frills selfie one, showing the blonde shot close up, topless, and with "ALCHEMICAL" inked across her left shoulder blade.

The footage also saw Dove with manicured nails and highlighting the snake tat she's got on her finger. A caption, meanwhile, merely echoed the tattoo, reading: "alchemical."

Dove, first inked aged 14 and admitting she did it without her parents' permission, now sees this tattoo coming at a landmark time. The star is fresh from announcing she's single following her split from 25-year-old boyfriend of nearly four years Thomas Doherty.

Fans were quick to comment. In fact, when one wrote: "New new?" Dove replied, stating: "New new." This also isn't Dove's first quarantine inking: "I've also gotten two tattoos in quarantine (safely.) I got this massive snake on my foot and ankle and it's my biggest one yet," she told Byrdie.

Dove did recommend taking painkillers after an ankle tattoo: "It hurt so bad though—if you're going to get a tattoo on your foot or ankle, definitely take Ibuprofen," she added.

This girl doesn't get tatted on a whim, though. There's immense thought behind the tattoos on Dove.

"It's all tied into etymology stories of women being equated to the snake and the snake being equated to the underworld and all of the bad things, and a way to shame women into being unsexual or anti-expressive with their bodies or just demure."

Dove made headlines ahead of the holidays for confirming she's no longer dating Thomas Doherty. The star and her ex did take a road trip to Utah in summer 2020, but Thomas hadn't appeared on Dove's IG since April 21. Dove confirmed in an Instagram story that they'd split, also confirming she's been single since October.
