Shakira has more than hips that don’t lie.
Her gut instinct doesn’t lie either.
Shakira Knew Something Was Amiss About Piqué's New GF
The singer knew long before her breakup from Gerard Piqué and his infidelity that there was something amiss about his then-Kosmos intern, Clara Chia Marti.
The retired FC Barcelona player and Shakira announced their split last June after nearly 12 years together.
They welcomed two children together, but never made their relationship legally binding.
They released a joint statement which read, “We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the wellbeing of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy.”
Shakira Knew From A Jar Of Jam That Piqué Was Cheating!
It’s rumored she found evidence that he was leading a double life and eventually found him sleeping with a mystery woman in their bed.
Was this mystery woman Marti?!
That has yet to be confirmed, but given the timing of their relationship going public, it’s easy to assume she may have been the woman.
Regardless of who it was, a new report states that Shakira had her reservations about the 23-year-old long before her breakup from Piqué.
When Shakira and the fútbol star were still dating and in each other’s good graces, the Colombian-native met Marti.
At the time, Shakira didn’t pay too much mind to Marti given she was a very basic girl.
"She passed unnoticed, Shakira never saw a danger because she is not a stunning woman, she is a rather normal girl," a source revealed to Spanish news outlet,Marca.
However, that didn’t stop the singer from giving the young intern a nickname.
Shakira Gave Clara A Nickname While She Was Still With Pique
Per the report, Shakira referred to Marti as “mosquita muerta,” which literally translates to “Little dead fly.”
Hoewever, the nickname can also be used to describe someone that is conniving, sneaky and secretive.
Almost like the age-old saying, “A wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

Basically, the person with the nickname is NOT to be trusted.
Given how nice and sweet Marti acted toward Shakira, she was extremely affected when Piqué began dating her soon after their split.
"That's why it hurt her so much, because he already knew her and called her 'little dead fly'," said Spanish journalist Roberto Antolin.
Shakira showed her disdain for “mosquita muerta” and Piqué in her collaboration with Bizzarap.
In “BZRP Music Sessions #53,” Shakira refers to Marti as a cheap car and watch.
She sings, “I’m worth two 22 [year old] You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”
Shakira Basically Says Piqué Traded Treasure For Trash!
Rumors have begun swirling that the “Waka Waka” songstress is gearing up to potentially do a tell-all interview.
According to Spanish news outlet 20minutos, Shakira could give an interview in the coming weeks to clarify what really happened and discuss her breakup from the father of her children.
The date for when this alleged “tell-all interview” will go down is currently unknown.
Shakira shed a tiny bit of light on their breakup in her digital cover for Elle in 2022.
She admitted she’s endured the “darkest hours” of her life amid the breakup and the Spanish government’s accusations of tax fraud.
“I’ve paid everything they claimed I owed, even before they filed a lawsuit,” she told Elle magazine. “So as of today, I owe zero to them. And finally, I was advised by one of the four biggest tax specialist firms in the world, PricewaterhouseCoopers, so I was confident that I was doing things correctly and transparently from day one.”
Shakira calls the Spanish government’s claims “false accusations,” and she plans to fight the case as a “matter of principle.”
“However, even without evidence to support these fictional claims, as they usually do, they’ve resorted to a salacious press campaign to try to sway people, and apply pressure in the media along with the threat of reputational damage in order to coerce settlement agreements,” she explained.
Shakira added that “Spanish tax authorities do this often” not just to celebrities but also to the “regular taxpayer.”
The Colombian-native also dove into the breakup saying, “It’s hard to talk about it, especially because I’m still going through it, and because I’m in the public eye and because our separation is not like a regular separation.”
