Before he passed XXXTentacion warned that his murder would involve Toronto-born rapper Drake and now he has to sit for a deposition.
Drake Is Under Pressure
The “Rich Flex” rapper has been told by a judge that he needs to sit for a quick chat on the stand after being woven into the murder of his fellow rapper. Mauricio Padilla, the defense attorney for Dedrick Williams has finally convinced the judge to make Drake sit for a line of questioning regarding the beef and subsequent murder of the “Changes” rapper.
This is actually the second time that Drake has been told he needs to speak to the judge, he was initially supposed to go before to judge on January 27 but he didn’t show up. The judge is giving him a second chance to sit for the deposition.
February 24 is the new day for Drake to appear and it’s via Zoom so, really, he has no reason to not show up, especially if he has nothing to hide.
Drake Could Be Charged With Contempt
The judge made it clear that Drake essentially has one last time to mess up if February 24 doesn’t work for him, then, on the 27th he better be in court for the deposition, if not, he will be charged with contempt.
XXX and Drake have had beef in the past and after his 2018 murder, many believed that Drake and his crew had something to do with it. This wasn’t unwarranted, The “Hope” rapper posted a cryptic message on IG Story several months before his murder.
"IF ANYONE TRIES TO KILL ME IT WAS @champagnepapi IM snitching RN,” he wrote in the post. There was no follow-up and no explanation for what prompted the post but it was quite suspect that he was murdered four months later.
XXXTentacion Deleted The Post
Almost as fast as the rapper posted the shady message just as quickly as he took it down but not quickly enough for the fans on social media. Screenshots of the post circulated around the internet.
XXX later claimed his account was hacked. Despite that, the defense attorney is pushing forward with his wild theory and making Drake sit for whatever questions he thinks are going to be key to proving his client isn’t at fault.
Williams is not the only man accused of murdering XXXtentacion, two other men are supposedly involved. Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome are also accused of gunning down the rapper who was 20 at the time of his death.
XXXtentacion Was Robbed
Surveillance video showed that XXX went to a bank and withdrew a lot of money from the teller. He gathered that money in a bag and headed over to a motorcycle shop where he looked at bikes.
Once he left the shop, he was robbed while making his way to his car. the robbers got away with the money and a Louis Vuitton bag, the latter ended up being one of the items found with one of the accusers.
