After three highly-rated seasons, Jodie Whittaker is allegedly ready to say good-bye to her role as the Doctor in the long-running “Doctor Who” franchise and let someone new take on the role as she completes her 14th regeneration sometime next year.
Whittaker was announced to be playing the 13th reincarnation of the Doctor in July 2017. She took over the role of Scottish actor Peter Capaldi in the closing scenes of the Christmas special, where he met his end at the hands of the long-running enemy of the Doctor, the Cybermen.
A Long-Standing Tradition
