'Sister Wives' Janelle And Christine Brown To Star In Spin-Off Focusing On Post-Polygamy Lives

Janelle Brown and Christine Brown are ready to take viewers on a brand new journey in an upcoming "Sister Wives" spin-off. The reality duo who have starred on the show for 17 seasons revealed that a spin-off was in the works.

While they're getting ready for "Sister Wives" season 18, Janelle and Christine will star alongside new family members in the yet-to-be-named show. The popular series' production company, Puddle Monkey Productions, will also produce the new show.

A source for The Sun revealed that an upcoming show is "in development," and the exes of TV personality, Kody Brown, are set to star in it. The source said, "They are working on it, that's for sure." They also revealed that more family members would join the cast in the project. These include the ex-wives' kids.

This report comes after the news outlet revealed last year that the two thought about making "their own show." After they decided to make it happen, Christine and Janelle discussed with some production companies about creating the show. However, Puddle Monkey Productions, who produced "Sister Wives," may end up working on the series "based on history and trust." 

The dup is set to star in "Sister Wives" season 18. Season 17's finale revealed that Janelle, Christine, and their co-wife, Meri Brown, ended things with their husband, Kody. Following this, he became monogamous and remained with his last wife, Robyn Brown. However, Janelle and Christine plan to focus on themselves in the upcoming spin-off.

Per The Sun, the reality stars plan to work on a "financial empire together" through the show. Janelle and Christine will also show viewers how things have been since they split from Kody. The two, who share six kids each with the star, will also reveal their relationship with their families.

A source for the publication said, "The spinoff would be focused on their life with their families, moving on from Kody, dating, and their businesses." Recently, the two have been focusing on themselves. Christine moved into a new house in Utah, while Janelle is spending more time with her kids. 

It's alleged that Janelle plans to permanently move somewhere "near Christine," considering their tight bond. While Christine hasn't commented on this, she recently revealed that she is dating someone new after her breakup with Kody.  

Following the announcement of their split in November 2021, the reality star gushed about her new boyfriend in a video shared via her Instagram stories. While she has found love again, Christine is yet to share her sweetheart's name. 

According to The Sun, the reality star's children wanted to find her a new partner. Although she was open to the idea, Christine was worried about the media getting involved in her dating life. The star also didn't want to spark rumors of a relationship that didn't exist. A source for the news outlet noted, "She's super careful about not having these public dates where people can spot her and take photos."

Although she is now dating someone, Christine is still reluctant to reveal more info about the relationship. However, she and Janelle are up to something else. The duo has plans to finish setting up their new company. The stars will market and sell weight loss supplements through the pharmaceutical brand called "Plexus."

The Sun revealed that the former co-wives registered their LLCs only months apart from each other. Per the news outlet, the businesswomen could become millionaires overnight by setting up their products, getting sponsorships, and making sales.
