"New year, same me" was the message from Miley Cyrus today – and it wasn't for the faint-hearted. The 28-year-old superstar singer updated her Instagram stories on January 1 with a giant reminder that her racy streak hasn't gone anywhere, with the "Midnight Sky" singer seen jiggling her butt cheeks in skin-tight clothing to make her point. Miley, fresh from a headline-making performance on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," is now back to making a headline for getting sexy. Check it out below.

Scroll for the jiggle action. Miley, who went dominatrix-style in black leather for her New Year's Eve performance, opted for a totally different look, one that's not actually seen on her all that much. The former "Hannah Montana" star was in pandemic-trendy and matching orange sweats, although these weren't a slouchy affair as the blonde posed indoors, by a roaring fire, and with a rear view.

Miley's 118 million followers have now been treated to the singer both jiggling her rear with both hands and showcasing her massive thigh gap.

Miley, also showcasing her name stamped across her booty, delivered a little drop-it-down-low action, too, better showing off the ritzy outfit and its feathered sleeves.

"Happy new tears" and "2021" appeared in text as Cyrus also stuck out her tongue for a sexy flourish. 2020, seeing Miley split from Aussie boyfriend Cody Simpson and release her "Plastic Hearts" album, seems to have ended on a high for her, with the EP topping rock charts with its #1 slot, something Miley has been celebrating on Instagram.

Miley has, however, been making more serious headlines, in particular, ones addressing her sobriety attempts. The "Wrecking Ball" singer admitted she'd fallen off the wagon during the pandemic, stating:

"I fell off and I realized that I now am back on sobriety, two weeks sober, and I feel like I really accepted that time. One of the things I've used is, 'Don't get furious, get curious.' So don't be mad at yourself, but ask yourself, 'What happened?'"

Miley added that the issue for her isn't the substance, it's the decisions she makes.

"I don't have a problem with drinking," she continued. "I have a problem with the decisions I make once I go pass that level ... I've just been wanting to wake up 100%, 100% of the time."

Miley has also been making headlines by virtue of little sister Noah Cyrus, having this year delivered a stunning live performance of the 20-year-old's "I Got So High That I Saw Jesus" in duet form.

Noah seems to be a chip off the old block. Scroll for the little sis' "WAP" bikini action.
