People Are Getting Stuck In The MSCHF 'Astro Boy' Boots

The "Astro Boy" boot is fun to look at but trendsetters are quickly realizing that like the anime character, the boots don’t come off.

The viral boots cost just over $300 and fans of the brand ran out to cop the latest trendy drop from MSCHF. Unfortunately, after a day of walking around and posing for photos from strangers obsessed with the comical boot, you go home and take them off, right?

Wrong! Apparently, these boots aren’t coming off of the feet of those who dare to wear them. A few videos are making the rounds on social media of bravo boot buyers trying to take the shoes off with little to no success.

In one video, a grown man is laying on the ground while his friends attempt to pull these ridiculous boots off of his feet. He is being pulled all over the store and the boot is yet to budge it is as if it’s permanently glued to their feet.

Complex took to the streets to test the boots and the video they posted was a mess. Their tester looked like he could barely walk in the boot as he hits the streets of New York City to cross the busy streets and take the subway.

He trips attempting to get onto the train and we can only assume it is because the boots are so clunky and awkward. You can tell it’s a struggle to walk and comfortably pick up one foot and put it in front of the other.

After seeing the boots in action followers of the trend are casting their votes online whether they would grab their own pair or if it’s not for them

The boots are getting the boot on social media by some. “Not risking my money or life,” claims one follower. One fan of the anime pointed out that there is a “reason why Astro boy doesn’t take his off,” that’s facts!

“I feel like I’m not gonna like these. I hate when sneakers hug on to my feet. Make me feel like I’m being trapping or locked up ????,” noted a followed regarding the suction of t boot. Another follower admitted that the boot “doesn’t look comfortable.”

People will convince themselves of anything in the name of fashion. As we mentioned, the boot looks heavy, Twitter followers thought so as well. “Looks so uncomfortable as he walks like the weight of the world dragging him down.”

On top of the boot looking crazy, they are noisy. Some people are uploading videos of themselves wearing the boot and doing everything things around the home like walking around, cleaning, and cooking.

One guy filmed himself walking down the stairs and the one thing they all have in common is the sound of the boot. It’s like a thump or a clunk and it hits the ground heavily, no matter what.

Followers are giving the boo wearers a hard time but there are just as many people who love the boots as those who hate them.
