Lea Michele needs to learn to read STAT!
The “Glee” star is on a time crunch to learn the art of reading before Barbara Streisand’s memoir, “My Name Is Barbara,” comes out.
The actress has been rumored to not know how to read given she began her career as a performer at a young age.
Will Lea Michele Be Able To Learn How To Read?!
Michele has never confirmed or denied the very random rumor that spurred from her late “Glee” co-star, Naya Rivera’s, memoir.
On Wednesday, February 8th, she shared a TikTok video paired with the “Rocky” theme song.
“265 days to learn to READ!!!” the caption read on the video which featured a black-and-white photo of Streisand.

“Barbara Streisand will release first memoir this Fall,” the photo read.
Michele shared a series of faces overtop the green screen feature.
The Broadway and Hollywood legend’s book will be published in November.
Her publisher called it, “frank, funny, opinionated and charming.”
“Barbra Streisand is a living legend, a woman who in a career spanning six decades has excelled in every area of entertainment, and this engrossing and delightful book will be eagerly welcomed by her millions of fans,” her publisher wrote. “Dozens of books have been written about Streisand, and now in My Name Is Barbra, she tells her story in her own words.”
One fan poked fun at Michele writing, “I am sure there will be an audiobook version don’t worry 😊.”
Another echoed the sentiment writing, “Don’t worry, there will be an audio book version I’m sure!”
“Good luck!! I know you can’t read this, but to Lea’s manager, maybe get her the audiobook too?” another added.
Many praised Michele for her humorous take on the “she can’t read” rumor.
As previously mentioned, this rumor began after her co-star released her memoir “Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistake sand Growing Up.”

Rivera shared an anecdote in the memoir that got fans theorizing and gossiping that Michele couldn’t read.
This isn’t the first time Michele has poked fun at the wild rumor.
She’s replied to fan comments, posted other funny TikTok videos dragging herself about the video and even called the rumors “sad” in a 2022 interview with the New York Times.
“I think often if I were a man, a lot of this wouldn’t be the case,” she said.
Michele made it a point to note that she showed up to the “Glee” set with her lines memorized “every single day” for six seasons.
Besides her rumored reputation for not knowing how to read, Michele once had a reputation for being a mean girl and diva on set.
This is something she’s long denied, but somewhat admitted to after giving birth to her first child.
In September 2022, the Broadway star stopped by “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
She opened up about who helped her change her behavior and what caused her to not see how rude she was being toward co-stars.

“I just couldn’t see things clearly,” she admitted. “It was all about my career, you know, I had been so career-focused my entire life. I think to a fault. I think that I had just this sense of drive that created a lot of blind spots for me in my life.”
In 2020, Michele was publicly called out on social media for her poor behavior by a former “Glee” co-star.
At this time, she was expecting her first baby with her husband, Zandy Reich.
“Then when I met my husband, it was a real sense of grounding for me, and then having our son and experiencing the challenges that we did throughout the pregnancy was something that, unfortunately, created a stronger bond in us that I would never wish upon anybody, but it did,” the actress admitted.
She attributes her marriage to Zandy for helping “transform” her life and appreciate the “great opportunity” she had been given with “Funny Girl.”
“As a performer — as a person — I just feel like what I do now with this is on me and how I handle this. I’m really ready to take all of this on and do a great show every night but also have fun with my cast, come home and celebrate with my family, which is something I never did before,” she explained to Barrymore. “I’m really enjoying being able to open my eyes to everything that’s going on around me because it’s all good and if it’s not fun, then why do we do it?”
