Linkin Park Is Releasing A New Song Featuring The Late Chester Bennington

Linkin Park is without a doubt one of the greatest rock bands in the history of music. In the early 2000s, they shocked the whole world with their album 'Meteora', particularly with 'Numb' which is the most famous song of the band. This song even had a remix with Jay-Z, which made them even more popular in the world.
In 2017, they released their last album together called "One More Light" in May and people were happy to see them coming back. But unfortunately, their singer Chester Bennington wasn't doing well for a while, he was going through a terrible depression, and his whole entourage knew it. That's why, even though people thought he was doing better, he was found dead in his residence in California. It was confirmed that the cause of his death was suicide. And after that, nothing really happened for the band, since Chester seems to be irreplaceable. But after all these years, something new is coming from the band, a new song where Chester Bennington is singing in it. And more than that, this song is a lost song that was created in the first place for a legendary album.
Linkin Park's Meteora Unreleased Masterpiece
On Twitter, and it was a huge surprise, it has been revealed that Linkin Park will be releasing a new song with Chester Bennington singing in it. Named "Lost", the song is expected to release on February 10th, for the 20th anniversary of Meteora.

And it was kind of a surprise. Because, if you didn't know, a member of the band, Mike Shinoda, is a Twitch streamer now, and every time someone asks him questions about Linkin Park, he doesn't have a lot of things to say: "The only Linkin Park news I have for you is that… Yeah, we talk every few weeks — I talk to the guys, or some of the guys, And there are no tours, there's no music, there are no albums in the pipeline. So just keep in your mind that that is not happening".
He then continued: "I'm just gonna say that much for now, I say that because anytime the band says anything or does anything, everyone tries to start up the hype train, and we're, like, 'No, no, no, no. Don't start up the hype train.' You're gonna disappoint yourself. Don't do that." So that's 100% clear, no song was supposed to be released and normally, it was the end of Linkin Park. But it seems like they decided to please the fans one last time to remember their most famous album and also their friend and singer Chester Bennington.
Nobody Will Ever Replace Chester Bennington
That was one of the rumors four years ago, only two years after the disappearance of Chester Bennington. The rumor said that Linkin Park was looking for a replacement singer. Mike Shinoda couldn't endure these fake pieces of information anymore and decided to make things clear on his Twitter: "Lemme clarify a rumor: we are not looking for a new singer, and if it were to happen organically, I'd be open. Seems pretty clear, yet I guess some folks have a hard time understanding". So Mike totally turned down those rumors, and it was for the good because Linkin Park had a hard time and still has a hard time going through their friend's death. It happened at a time when Chester was supposed to feel better, so it was a real shock for them.
However, even if nobody will ever replace Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda said the group is still open to finding a new singer, but not a replacement, and he made that totally clear in an interview with Rock Antenne: "That's not my goal right now. I think it has to happen naturally. And if we find somebody that's a great person that we think is a good personality fit and a good stylistic fit, then I could see trying to do some stuff with somebody... I wouldn't wanna ever feel like we were replacing Chester."
After that, he added: "I know the other guys, they love to get onstage, they love to be in the studio, and so to not do that would be — I don't know — almost unhealthy. If doing that means that we need to have some other people in the mix in order to do it and do it well, then we would do that... But, as I said before, it has to happen naturally. I'm not running out and putting up 'vocalist wanted' posters." So if we understand well, Linkin Park is open to finding a new singer, but it has to happen naturally, like for Chester Bennington when the whole group met each other.
