Cori Broadus Says 'The Goal Is To Feel Better'

Despite dealing with a lot concerning her general wellness, her positive attitude and determination to overcome her health challenges serve as an inspiration to others facing similar struggles.

In a recent post, she shared a video without audio that showed the singer standing in front of a mirror wearing a white robe. She sported long braids, and one thing was evident — the darker patches of skin on her face. She partly wrote over the video:

"I know I'm sick & some things are unfortunate, but the goal is to feel better, get better and get off all these medications that are mentally making me goooo insane 😭😭.."

In another slide, she captured an image featuring an unzipped bag with pink and gray vials of pills with the days of the week written on them lined up on the marble counter.

Underneath the snap, she revealed that she had to take all of them "every day, morning and night at the same time" while promising a quick reel showing how she filled them up and explain the purpose for each of them. "I be feeling like I'm 75 fr. But also blessed that my lupus has been somewhat controlled since I had it," she noted.

The next update was another picture of a notepad titled blood pressure, which contained daily readings of her results. She wrote beside it, "I also have to take my blood pressure every day... It's been improving since I got put on this second bp medication & also trying to cool out on my salt intake."

Earlier this month, The Blast noted that Cori got her lupus diagnosis at a very young age and also had to deal with weight gain from taking steroids. Taking to her Instagram Story, she posted a picture of herself watching a cartoon on television alongside the words, "I get a kidney biopsy today. I'm so scared 😭😭😭 last time I got one, I was like 7/8."

She returned with another picture of herself throwing up a peace sign from the bed, wearing a hospital gown and a head covering as she assured fans she would be back with an update.

The "Trouble" voice actress finally told her followers that unfortunately the biopsy could not be done because her blood pressure and heart rate were too high and the doctors did not want to risk anything. This meant she would have to reschedule and see a cardiologist to clear her properly.

'Sittin' In My Room' Singer Shows Off Engagement Ring From Fiance Wayne Deuce

Cori recently took to social media to showcase her stunning engagement ring from her longtime beau. The singer and her partner decided to take their relationship to the next level and build a future together as husband and wife, and she could not be happier.

The Blast shared the exciting news of their engagement in November last year. And now, clearly, over the moon at being a Mrs, she took the chance to flaunt the lovely diamond on her Instagram story.

The California native shared a short clip of herself wearing a white colored buttoned shirt, a yellow and red printed silk scarf, and a choker-like Cuban link necklace. Her face looked healthy and glowed as the sun's rays shined on her through the windows.

She smiled at the camera moving her body and waving her hands to the music while mouthing the words. At some point, right before the video ended, she swung her hand, and the large rock decorating her finger showed. Looking happy, she wrote boldly across the video, "Soon to be Mrs. POLK."
