"The Social Network" star Armie Hammer's accuser, Effie Angelova, recently claimed that the actor is trying to shut her up. The father of two and his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, ended their marriage in 2020, and less than a year later, a cascade of sexual abuse and assault allegations against him sprung up.
Angelova, who Hammer previously dated, posted several screenshots of graphic violent text messages allegedly sent by Hammer. Now, after months of seclusion, the actor recently broke his silence, claiming that as a result of the entire saga, he had harbored suicidal thoughts. However, Angelova has accused him of manipulating and trying to shut her up.

Effie Angelova Slams Armie Hammer For Being Manipulative
In response to his interview released last week, Angelova, the woman who accused Hammer of rape, called the actor "manipulative." According to Page Six, she took to her Instagram stories on Monday and claimed that the actor's recent actions were in a bid to "evoke" the public's sympathy.
Angelova also said that Hammer's alleged actions affected not only her but her entire family. She claimed that when he repeatedly slammed her head into a wall, rather than being concerned about her, he "was just worried that I was telling my family."
Angelova shared some screenshots of alleged conversations with Hammer years ago, where he apologized for allowing her family to get involved. "I'm sorry you are going through all of this, and I'm sorry your parents have gotten so involved," his message read.
"And I'm sorry your parents are so hurt seeing you hurt," he continued. Another message allegedly sent from Hammer continued apologizing and revealed that he understood why Angelova and her parents were upset.
Effie Angelova Claims She Has Heard Armie Hammer's Suicide Story Before
Concerning his failed attempt at suicide in the Cayman Islands, Angelova claimed that she had heard the story from him before and that the recent retelling was his desperate attempt to gain some sympathy. She wrote, "It made me so worried about him, he made me feel bad for telling him his abuse messed me up, and it made me want to take care of him instead."
Angelova continued, "He disappeared for a couple days which only made me more worried about him." She revealed that despite telling her the same story years ago, Hammer claimed to the press that it occurred recently after her accusations.
"It seems so manipulative because he knows his ocean story shut me up last time and evoked sympathy, and it's like now he's trying it again," Angelova said. "I think on some level he feels guilty."
She went on to share a screenshot of her message sent years prior, allegedly telling Angelova that she had "cried" after his story and wanted to "give you a hug and make it better."
Armie Hammer Says He Had Suicidal Thoughts
Hammer joined Air Mail a few days earlier in his first interview since the start of 2021 when allegations of multiple sexual misconduct and abuse were made against him. He revealed that while swimming in the ocean in the Cayman Islands, he was assaulted with suicidal thoughts but retreated when he remembered his children.
"I just walked out into the ocean and swam out as far as I could and hoped that either I drowned, or was hit by a boat, or eaten by a shark," the actor disclosed. "Then I realized that my kids were still on shore and that I couldn't do that to my kids."
In the interview, he maintained that while he was emotionally abusive in past relationships, every sexual encounter between him and the women that had accused him had been consensual. Hammer also recalled being sexually abused for almost a year by his youth pastor. At the time, he was only 13, and according to the actor, the experience had led to his interest in BDSM.
Armie Hammer Claims Effie Angelova Planned Out Alleged Rape Scene
Angelova previously alleged that when she was just 20, Hammer abused her "mentally, emotionally, and sexually" for the duration of their four-year relationship. The actor has since denied any wrongdoing, despite being called out by several other women.
Speaking to Air Mail, he claimed that the alleged rape scene was entirely Angelova's idea and that she had planned all the details out. Hammer alleged that she was the one who introduced him to the practice, and it happened only that one time.
The actor said, "She planned all of the details out, all the way down to what Starbucks I would see her at, how I would follow her home, how her front door would be open and unlocked, and I would come in, and we would engage in what is called a 'consensual non-consent scene,' CNC."
