Tom Sandoval has focused his attention on music as he and his “Vanderpump Rules” cast members await an official decision from Bravo in regard to their potentially upcoming ninth season.
During an interview with Page Six days ago, Tom spoke about his recent collaboration with the Food Network’s Potash Twins, who he teamed up with on a Christmas song.
“It was so great getting to jam out with Potash twins,” Tom, who specializes in the trumpet, told the outlet. “I’ve been wanting to for ages. Mixing cocktails and instruments might be two of my favorite things in life.”
Tom Sandoval Has Been Practicing Music Amid The Pandemic
After celebrating the one-year anniversary of his and girlfriend Ariana Madix‘s cocktail book, “Fancy AF Cocktails,” Tom said that he was missing his ability to attend live music events but also enjoying the quiet time he and Ariana have been spending at the $2 million home they bought in Los Angeles in early 2019 in recent months.
“I’ve been playing a lot more trumpet lately,” the reality star explained. “I have a pocket trumpet now that I’ve kind of fallen in love with.”
‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season Nine Is In Limbo
As “Vanderpump Rules” fans will recall, Tom showed off his trumpeting skills during a past season of the show when he was recording music with his cast mate, James Kennedy.
It has also been mentioned that Tom had attempted to establish himself as a musician with his two-man band, Charles McManson.
As Page Six explained, it’s hard to say if fans of the show will see any more of Tom’s skills on the show as filming has not yet begun on season nine.
While filming on new seasons usually starts sometime in May, the quarantine closures have kept the show in limbo.
Tom Sandoval Celebrated Christmas At Home With Ariana Madix
Also, during his interview with Page Six, Tom confirmed that he was celebrating the holidays at home with Ariana.
“This is going to be the first time I haven’t gone back to St. Louis for the holidays, but my family’s very understanding,” he said.
“My mom would normally — back when I was working at TGI Fridays when I was like 17, 18, my mom would be like, ‘I don’t care what it costs! You tell anyone I’ll give them a hundred bucks!’ Which now, like with inflation of like $300, maybe. I had to have at least Christmas Eve off.”
Tom Sandoval Refused To Travel Amid The Pandemic
“So I used to work Christmas Day, but but yeah, just this year, I mean, you know, I just feel like I would feel guilty,” Tom explained of his decision against traveling amid the pandemic.
Although Tom and Ariana didn’t go anywhere for Christmas, Ariana said they did their best to be festive while safe at home.
“No one’s going anywhere and no one’s coming here. So we’re just going to be cuddling with the dogs. We got them and we got the dogs and our cat matching Christmas sweaters!” she shared.
“To be very honest, the ultimate gift [this year] would be the end of COVID-19,” Ariana added.
