'Teen Mom' Mackenzie McKee Suffers Diabetes Crisis During Xmas Marathon

Mackenzie McKee showed immense strength running a Boxing Day long-distance run this year – she ran all the way from Commerce, Oklahoma to Baxter, Kansas. The 25-year-old "Teen Mom OG" star, whose Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis is one she'll have for life, updated her Instagram on December 26 with photos of herself and her pregnant sister after one heck of a run. Mackenzie, who regularly runs in memory of 2019-deceased mom Angie Douthit, was looking forward with her expecting sister, but she suffered on the way. Check it out below.

Mackenzie's photos, taken outdoors and on a sidewalk, showed her all bundled up for the half-marathon as she rocked tight gray leggings and a pink hoodie, plus a headband – likewise sporty was McKee's sister, whose baby bump was showing.

"My sister, babygirl, and I did a half marathon today," Mackenzie opened, then outlining she'd crossed a state line.

Mackenzie continued: "It was my 4th one to complete and one of my worst times ?. . The first half I did amazing, then my sugars started taking a dip and I ate then realized I needed to eat more. After mile 9 I started truly slowing down to a embarrassing pace ?."

Mackenzie, who beat herself up in 2019 at a bikini-modeling competition where her blood sugars also got the better of her, added: "My sugars were just not having it. But I finished."

Mackenzie, a devout Christian, added that she was the "weirdo blonde" anyone might have seen "running with her hands in the air," then calling the run the "best worship session" – not one she executed to have while running.

"Who knew the best worship session I’d ever have would be during a half marathon feeling like I’m about to die."

"God is good," McKee added. The photos come as Mackenzie spends Christmas back in Oklahoma and with rocky husband Josh MKee. See more photos below!

Mackenzie, who fronts weight-loss brand BoomBod and protein supplements brand Justice Nutrition, was asked if she was okay by fans, also what she'd had to eat for breakfast today.

"What did you have for breakfast? Just curious," the fan wrote, with Mackenzie replying: "I always fast in the morning always."

Others, meanwhile, sent McKee all the best: "You're so strong," one said, confirming she was their "fav ever since I first saw you on TV." As The Blast reported this year, Mackenzie has already been told her storyline is "the only one worth watching."
