Helena Christensen Celebrates Birthday In Swimsuit With Chilly Xmas Dip

Legendary supermodel Helena Christensen braved freezing Copenhagen waters yesterday to celebrate both turning 52 and Christmas. The Danish Vogue cover girl, proving she's still got it at 50+, updated her Instagram in a hot red and lettuce-trim bathing suit over Xmas, choosing to dip into icy city waters for a birthday swim. Helena's "Another year, another dip" came with a cold-face emoji, plenty of action, and the blue-eyed beauty winding up with half the modeling world commenting. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photo and video. Helena, recently saying she doesn't give a "flying f-ck" what anyone thinks of her dress sense, was proving that she's unique in her activities, too.

The video, taken in the Nyhavn Canal in Copenhagen, showed the brunette bravely toeing icy waters as she descended a ladder leading into the canal while sunlight poured all over her. Helena was flaunting her sensational body in a hot red and frilly, low-back swimsuit, also seen with her hair blowing all over the place.

While a still image captured Helena just prior to her dip, the video actually showed the bombshell getting in and working her way down the red ladder into what was clearly a pretty unbearably-cold temperature.

In fact, Helena even stuck her entire head under the water to make her point. Comments, now led by fellow models, are sending the former Victoria's Secret Angel the thumbs-up.

"You are the coolest. Happy Birthday" came from model Martha Hunt, with Wonderbra face Eva Herzigova replying: "Happiest bday my love."

Helena also snagged herself a like from 57-year-old "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna, plus an "angel" comment from Bruce Willis' daughter Tallulah.

Helena is fresh from an interview with Times 2, one that saw the Dane outline that in her country, it's natural all the way. "In Denmark we are brought up with a natural approach to our bodies. We are not taught that it’s anything to hide. In modelling it was never an issue for me," she told the newspaper.

Helena, whose IG arguably shows some of the biggest style trends around, also maintained that she isn't fussed about people's thoughts regarding her wardrobe.

"For me it’s about what do I want to wear to make me happy? And it’s about not really — excuse the expression — giving a flying f-ck what anyone else thinks."

Despite being over the 50 mark, Helena boasts an impressive celebrity following. Her IG is kept tabs on by supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber, plus "Cruel Intentions" actress Selma Blair.
