Kit Harington And Rose Leslie Are Expecting A Second Child
During an appearance on "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon," Harington divulged that he and his wife Leslie are expecting their second child.
After meeting on the "Game of Thrones" set, Harington, 36, who played Jon Snow, married Leslie, 35, who played Ygritte, in 2018.
The "7 Days in Hell" star told Fallon that their son is "about to get the shock of his life" and that he would soon "get a brother or sister." Harington also made a comparison between a first and second parenting experience, admitting that he was terrified the first time.
"With the first baby, you're like walking through clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for nine months, well, the man is anyway," he explained per People magazine, adding that "the reality check comes much shorter the second time around. You get practical real quick."

The couple already shares a son. News of Leslie's first pregnancy broke after she posed for a black and white photo with her baby bump on the cover of UK's Make Magazine.
In a gorgeous Instagram photo of the actress, fashion editor, Ursula Lake, captioned, "So wonderful working with the beautiful Rose Leslie for the cover story of @make_magazineuk out now! A very special all-woman team photographic shoot capturing Rose at this wonderful time as she prepares for motherhood for the first time!"
While on his recent appearance on "The Tonight Show," Harington revealed that his son hasn't "conceptually understood it just yet" when he was asked about what his baby boy thought of his incoming sibling.
"We're trying to get him ready for it, we point to Rose's tummy and we say, 'Mommy's baby.' And he points at his tummy and says, 'My baby," Harington stated.
He Gushed Over His 'Smart' Son
Just before he revealed he would soon become the father to a second child, Harington took time to laud his two-year-old son, stating that he's "quite smart."
"It's surprising, seeing as we're both actors," he said, in reference to himself and his wife. "We're like, we're not quite sure where that's come from ... He likes applause."
The actor continued, "Every time he does something good, we give him applause, and we're worrying that's kind of pushing him towards acting. We're a bit like, 'Eh, you might be too smart for this. Go save the world, we're sick, we had no choice.'"
Fatherhood Influenced Kit Harington's Film 'Baby Ruby'
One of the many benefits of becoming a father is the inspiration it gave Harington for his film "Baby Ruby."
"I think there was real catharsis in this," he said during People and EW's 2022 photo and video studio for Toronto Film Festival. "My baby boy was about 4 or 5 months old when we filmed this, so I had just come out of the process that these two characters find themselves in of early parenthood, so I was literally exploring that in this movie. That was a big reason for wanting to do it."
He went on to add, per People, "We are now becoming more involved in child raising, and as a modern father, there is a real feeling of being a bystander at times."
"You are not actively involved in the process of growing the child, and there can be a real feeling of not knowing what is going on, what emotions are happening, or what the mother or your partner is going through."
