Emily Simpson opened up about the challenges of filming the 15th season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" amid the coronavirus pandemic during an appearance on Heather McDonald's radio show, "Juicy Scoop," earlier this week.
After filming the reunion special for the series days ago, Emily spoke to the comedian about the hardships she and her castmates faced before admitting that when it came to the outcome of the show, she believes they did quite well, all things considered.
Self-Filming Was Challenging For Emily Simpson
“Considering what the challenges were that we had to make a show, that we had to deal with quarantine that was supposed to be two weeks and ended up being five months, we had to self-film, which I… I was like, ‘I don’t know,'" Emily said.
According to Emily, she and her co-stars were somewhat directed by their producers when it came to self-filming.
"We would get an email where they would bullet point and then we would Skype with each other to try and keep the connection but it was challenging," she admitted.
Emily Simpson Was Intrigued By the Content The 'RHOC' Cast Created
"We’re making a reality show and the world shuts down," she continued. "[So] the fact that we made a good show and got 14 episodes… I tell Thomas, who is a show runner, all the time, I’m like, ‘You guys should be commended because it’s phenomenal that we were able to do what we did.’"
Looking back on the episodes they created, Emily said that it was quite interesting to see her and her co-stars in a different light on the show.

"I thought it was interesting. It’s this fun birds eye view into people’s houses with like, no makeup and no housekeeper and you have your pajamas on,” Emily explained.
As for what's left the season, Emily teased a girls trip.
“There’s a girls trip coming up which is interesting because there’s a lot that goes on there, a lot of drama and stuff. So that’s interesting. It’s a good season," she promised.
Although it is unclear how many episodes are left, the midseason was released just a short time ago, which seems to suggest that the end is not yet near.
