The former reality TV star hopped on the gram to wish her crime-fighting pops a Happy Birthday alongside some fun photos of him over the years.

“Happy birthday to my Dad,” she began the sentimental message. “My dad has helped so many people in his life and I’m so proud to be his daughter. He has the biggest heart and even bigger muscles,” she jokes.

Lyssa signs off by reminding her followers and her dad who is his favorite child. “I hope you have the best year ever. Love your favorite child.” The photos with the message are of herself with her dad, one of Dog fishing, and a final one of him with Chuck Norris.

Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman’s Had His Own Bday Message

Dog’s Instagram page shared a birthday message to the Hawaii native, “It’s Dog’s 70th birthday! Help him feel the love in the comments below,” reads the caption. A collage of photos featuring Dog and his new wife only played.

Some of his followers had something to say about that.

“I think it’s a little sad that they only put pics of his new wife in there when she hadn’t even be around all that long. Why were there no pics with him and Beth? That’s a damn shame. Like they forgot all about Beth. I have lost some respect for him because of it. He acts like she was nothing. What a shame.”

Another follower was less long-winded. “No love for Beth in there huh?!” besides the handful of upset people, others showed love to dog and some begged to see more of him on TV picking up some of the horrible criminals out here now.

Lyssa mentioned how proud she is of her dad for helping all of the people he has helped. Dog is still trying to lend his name to the cause via his social media. He commented on Tyre Nichol’s murder by police in Memphis and reminded his followers that force is never necessary when arresting people.

“One of the questions police most often ask me is, how do you switch off the adrenaline when you catch your guy? There needs to be more specific training at police departments nationwide to prevent the senseless tragedy like what happened to Tyre Nichols in Memphis,” he began his statement.

If you are old enough to remember after Dog and Beth Chapman would arrest their target, they would treat them very well. Sometimes they would take the cuffs off, they would let them use cell phones to call loved ones for help knowing that they only get one chance once behind bars.

One-time (maybe more) son, Leland Chapman took his shoes off and gave them to a man about to go to prison with nothing proper on his feet. His dad taught him kindness like that.

We’ve seen Dog feed people water and snacks if he didn’t trust them enough to take the cuffs off, they still have to eat, right? And almost every time, they would light up one last guaranteed cigarette before dropping them off at the jail.

“What those cops did turned the blue line yellow. There's no room for cowards in our police forces who viciously beat people. I'm a huge supporter of all law enforcement and I'm always ready to share anything l've learned in my 40-year career of apprehension.

Never once have I beaten someone to within an inch of their life. We're all praying for Tyre's family and the people of Memphis.”

Happy Birthday, Dog!
