Erika Jayne was reportedly convinced that her now-estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, was cheating on her with multiple women before filing documents to end their 21-year marriage last month.
As the former couple, who’ve starred alongside one another on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” for the past several years, face a number of lawsuits, Thomas is also facing rumors of infidelity after a source shared shocking information with PEOPLE magazine on December 18.
She says “the reason she divorced Tom is because he was cheating on her with multiple women,” the insider alleged.
Erika Jayne Hoped To Save Her Marriage
While the source went on to say that Erika supposedly knew that Thomas had been cheating on her in recent years, they added that the reality star and performer “wanted to try and save the marriage.”
“When she was performing her last week on Broadway, he left her high and dry and was frolicking around town instead of supporting her and attending her shows,” the insider claimed to have been told.
“She realized she would never be a priority to him and that was her breaking point.”
Erika Jayne And Thomas Girardi Are Accused Of Embezzlement
“The split was a long time coming. The lawsuit just coincided with her decision to leave him,” the source continued, giving a nod to a recent lawsuit filed against Erika and Thomas, which accused the former couple of embezzling money from families of victims killed in a plane crash in Indonesia in 2018.
According to the lawsuit, Erika and Thomas used $2 million of the settlement money owed to a number of his clients to fund their “lavish Beverly Hills lifestyles.”
Erika Jayne Filed For Divorce In November
Following the filing of the lawsuit weeks ago, a judge froze the assets of both Thomas and his well-known law firm in Los Angeles, Girardi Keese, telling Thomas that the “simple way to cure all of this” is to pay his clients the money they are owed.
In her divorce filing in early November, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member requested spousal support from Tom and also asked a judge to force him to pay her legal fees.
After announcing plans to divorce Thomas, Erika said in a statement that their split was “not a step taken lightly or easily.”
Erika Jayne Remains Respectful Of Her Soon-To-Be-Ex-Husband
Erika’s statement continued on, seemingly making it clear that she held no ill will for the attorney.
“I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together,” she said. “It is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserved. I request others give us that privacy as well.”
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 11 is currently in production and expected to air on Bravo sometime next year.
