Jen Shah regrets the “Grandpa-effer” comments she made to Mary Cosby on “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.” That said, she doesn’t regret the statements because they weren’t factual.
During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” on December 16, Jen said that after getting a pep talk from her husband, Coach Shah, she realized that what she said about her cast mate was rude.
“Do I regret it? You know, yes. I should not have said that. However, was I lying? Was I lying? No. Andy, help us! Was I lying?” she asked.
Jen Shah Didn’t Slam Mary Cosby To Her Face
According to Jen, she didn’t make the comments with the intention of Mary hearing her.
“Here’s the thing… I was talking to Lisa when I said it. Yo, there was 1920s music, strippers that maybe shouldn’t have been strippers rolling around the pole, all that stuff going on. Mary was across the room,” she recalled.
“So, when I talked to Mary and she was like, ‘You need to apologize,’ I truly didn’t know… I was like, ‘Girl, I didn’t even talk to you that night. What did you talk about?’”

“I think some of the other girls told her I said it. Was it wrong? Yes, it was wrong. I shouldn’t have said it. Was it a lie? No, it wasn’t a goddamn lie. Own that sh*t. Girl, you married your grandpa. Own it!” Jen continued.
As viewers of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” well know, Mary married her step-grandfather after receiving a blessing from her late grandmother.
During another portion of the show, Jen responded to accusations of racism at 7-11s she made against Mary, which Mary denied.

“Mary M. Cosby, I’m praying for you girl. And you confirmed it on camera in the show and then you also doubled-down in your confessional. Mary, that’s what you said. Now, if you want to come back on it now, that’s on you but that’s what you said. Come on, girl,” she said.
Jen claims she and Mary met one another at a cocktail party nearly two years ago and added that she has never met Mary’s husband or visited her church.
Jen Shah Admits Mary Cosby Smells Good
When Jen was then asked how Mary smells, after Mary infamously accused her of smelling like a hospital on an earlier episode of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Jen admitted that Mary smells good.
“Well actually, Mary actually smells very pleasant. She says she had a perfume,” Jen said.
