Elle King Calls Out Country Music Singer, Chris Young

Remember when Elle King shared that someone told her partner to “come get your wife”? well, Elle just revealed which celeb said it.

The country music singer is the one who thought that Elle needed a man to wrangle her after she began to swiftly beat his butt in a few good-time games. Elle and Chris appeared on Barmageddon, a new show on USA Network.

It’s created and hosted by Blake Shelton and Carson Daly and the premise is to have two starts face off in a series of bar games like “air cannon cornhole,” “keg curling” and “drunken axe hole.” Elle was blowing Chris off the leaderboard and talking smack while doing so.

The “Drowning” singer didn’t take too kindly to the smack talk or the losing and hit back at Elle or rather her “husband” because we don’t address women directly in this age. “Come get your wife!” he yelled at Dan Tooker, Elle’s long-time partner, and father of her son.

After taunting Chris and winning at bar games, Elle took offense to the comment and turned it into art. She named her newest single and album title “Come Get Your Wife” off the ridiculous situation.

Elle wrote in one of several posts about the situation. “Remember that one time I was beating some asshole at a game and he yelled, “Come get your wife!” to my partner!?!? And I’m not even married! Lol. Thanks for the album title, babe ? Each track comes from influences of all genres, and I now know country music is where I belong. #ComeGetYourWife is out now, available everywhere.”

In another post, Elle shared a video of herself speaking out the new album. ‘Hey guys I’m so excited, my record, come get your wife is out today.”

Elle went on to share, “the title of this record came cause some famous asshole tied to shout come get your wife and I was like I’m not even married, just cause I was kicking his ass in a game.”

At the time she joked to herself that it would be fun to call her record that but then, she actually did! Elle teased Chris one last time, “I did and then I won the game,” she said and blew a kiss to who even was watching.

The former The Voice judge also shared with ET a few months back that Chris went a little too hard on the fun-loving show. “Chris Young was very competitive,” he told the host and Page Six also shared that a source said Elle went through it that day.

“I’m sure the network will cut it up to make him not look that bad, but once she started kicking his a– in the bar games and s–t talking like the guys were doing, he couldn’t take it anymore. He was seeing red,” they recalled.

The source continued. “He called her names and then even yelled over her head to a guy who was with her that he better ‘Come get your wife’ — what was he even gonna do?  So stupid. The whole crew saw and heard it.”
