Andy Cohen reacted to the death of Lisa Vanderpump's Pomeranian, Giggy, during the latest episode of his Sirius XM radio show, "Andy Cohen Live."
After the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member announced the tragic passing of her beloved pet, who became a fan favorite on Bravo years ago, Andy looked back at his time with Giggy.
"I have to say, if Giggy dying, and I know everyone says this about every bad thing that happens in 2020, but, 'That's the most 2020 thing ever,'" Andy stated.
Giggy's Health Was On The Decline
"Giggy had been sick I think for a while, or frail, and so I feel like Giggy was in frail health for a while but it really... I left Lisa a message yesterday and I started... I was really getting very emotional and I have to say, for two reasons, Giggy really made people happy. Like, I'm saying that with no irony or anything. Like, Giggy was truly the mascot of Bravo, really, and, especially in those first few years of ['The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'], Giggy was such a superstar," Andy explained.
Lisa Vanderpump Often Brought Giggy To The Set Of 'WWHL'
"[Lisa] would bring him to 'Watch What Happens Live' and anyone who would see him, whether on TV or in person, they went nuts. This was a very famous dog. He made people so happy and Lisa was very generous in sharing him with people and letting people hold him," Andy recalled.
According to Andy, he felt quite nostalgic as he reminisced about his time with Giggy.
"It made me very nostalgic about the early days of 'RHOBH' and just meeting Giggy and meeting Lisa and meeting all of them," he shared.
Andy Cohen Once Dressed As Giggy For Halloween
Andy was also reminded of a time when he actually dressed up as Giggy with the help of the late Chris March. As he recalled, he did so during an early season of his late-night talk show.
"I dressed as Giggy for Halloween one year in a costume that the late, great Chris March made and I looked insane, and he was Lisa Vanderpump. It was so wild," he stated.
Andy also left a supportive comment for Lisa on her Instagram page following Giggy's passing.
“Giggy was the First Dog of Bravo. Truly love at first sight for the cutest pup we’d ever seen. RIP beautiful Gigolo,” he said.
Lisa Vanderpump Confirmed Giggy's Passing On Social Media
Following the death of her dog, Lisa took to her Twitter page, where she confirmed the sad news.
"It has been an awful year, no doubt about it... My little furry man just passed," Lisa revealed to her fans and followers on December 13. "My heart is broken. So much loss, in so many ways. But we will get through this together, have courage in the face of adversity."
Lisa appeared on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" for nine seasons before announcing her exit in June 2019.
