'She Was A Great Co-Worker'
Speaking briefly with Daily Mail, Allen shaded Anderson days after she addressed an allegation penned in her memoir that the comedian "flashed his penis" at her while they were filming the 1990s tv show "Home Improvement."
The Hollywood veteran, who was visiting a Starbucks outlet when he had the conversation, disclosed that Anderson's claims did not sit well with the showrunners at ABC and Disney, although he lauded her team spirit.
"She was a great co-worker, I'll tell you that. She's a fun girl," Allen told the publication about his former colleague who only starred in the series for two seasons.
He added, "Everybody loved her, but Everybody at ABC is a little disappointed in her memory, put it that way. All of us at Disney/ABC, really. She's a good girl."
The comedian refused to disclose the circumstances around his statement, choosing to remain vague about the situation. Disney/ABC is also yet to comment on Anderson's claims about Allen.
Pamela Anderson On Tim Allen Flashing His Junk At Her
Allen's statement comes a few days after Anderson had offered an explanation on why her former colleague flaunted his member during their time on set.
"Tim is a comedian, it's his job to cross the line. I'm sure he had no bad intentions," the actress told Variety.
"Times have changed, though," she added. "I doubt anyone would try that post #MeToo. It's a new world."
The said incident reportedly happened on Anderson's first day filming the "Home Improvement" series. In her book, the former Playboy model claimed that she came out of her dressing room to see Allen flashing his penis at her.
Additionally, she revealed that he swiftly made excuses for his behavior, saying that it was "only fair" considering that he had already seen her nude, likely referring to her Playboy covers.
Tim Allen Denies The Incident
Following Anderson's claim making the headlines, Allen denied the lewd act in a statement to Variety. "No, it never happened. I would never do such a thing," he told the publication.
Anderson, on her end, elaborated on her allegation in an interview with Vanity Fair, stating that although the encounter was "uncomfortable," she managed to move on.
She then insisted that the incident occurred contrary to Allen's denial.
"This true story is just one of many surreal and uncomfortable situations I learned to navigate," she penned. "My book goes into how it made me feel over the course of my life and, in this case, my career. I have no ill will toward Tim. But like the rest, it should never have happened."
Pamela Anderson's New Memoir And Documentary
Anderson's memoir, Love, Pamela, in which she thoroughly detailed all about her encounter with Allen, debuted on Tuesday, January 31, alongside her Netflix documentary "Pamela: A Love Story."
During the documentary premiere on Monday night in Los Angeles, the actress was seen being very emotional about the project finally debuting on the big screen.
She told People magazine that the documentary revisiting her past was essential to telling her story.
"It's just all these wonderful memories and hard memories too. But I wanted to go back into those feelings and feel those feelings," the 55-year-old told the publication.
She added, "That's how I wrote my book. I wanted to go through all the chapters of my life and feel those feelings. It was hard. It was very hard."
