In November, Jeannie Mai posted a shot from her hospital bed while explaining the surprising illness that ended her time on the competition series. "I would never imagine ever having to write this, but I made it safely out of my emergency surgery. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Nasseri who identified my potentially life-threatening condition," Jeannie Mai wrote from the hospital.

She revealed that what started out as just a sore throat quickly escalated to "a dangerous infection that already closed at least 60% of my airway."

The star added that she's "grateful to be recovering safely, I can't lie... I am devastated by the fact that my journey with #DWTS will end this way." Once she arrived home, Jeannie Mai collected several heartwarming messages and gifts from her friends and fans. She's kept them up-to-date on her health journey since.

Jeannie Mai even included them in her late-night bubble bath over the weekend. Stripping down naked, the star sipped on a tall glass of red wine and took some Q&A's from her soapy tub.
