Jeannie Mai, who lost 15 pounds after a surgery that forced her to quit "Dancing With the Stars," is showing her recovery journey. The 41-year-old host of "The Real" made major headlines for her abrupt exit from the popular competition series this year, with Mai's Instagram documenting both her hospitalization for medical condition epiglottis and, following it, her road back to health. Jeannie's weekend update was a stunning and slinky dress one, and it showed the "Hello Hunnay" star getting stronger. Check it out below.

Scroll for the latest snap. The above one landed on Jeannie's IG in early December as the California-born star vowed to regain her muscle – "After 3 weeks of being sick and unable to eat, I lost 15 lbs of muscle that I previously worked so hard to build," she wrote.
Yesterday's photo took it away from the workout room, but it kept up the self-care. Jeannie was posing on a stylish, stacked-stone ledge in a spa-feel snap, seen looking gorgeous in a two-piece-effect dress.

Jeannie, looking dead at the camera lens and holding her "tea flower hibiscus," wore a slinky, strapless, and peachy-nude dress with a belly-baring and no-bra finish, also rocking high-end white Chanel sneakers as she posed by an attractive handbag.
"Oh dangg your girl's been dreaming of an easy tart, aromatic drink with my fave tea flower- hibiscus- and finally nailed the perf recipe today! ?" she wrote, before handing out the full recipe –and it got noticed, with "Family Food Fight" host Ayesha Curry leaving a like.

Jeannie, who was partnered with Brandon Armstrong on Season 29 of "DWTS," made her exit in November, saying she was "devastated" as potentially life-threatening epiglottis forced her right into an operating theater. The "How Do I Look?" star has since opened up on her "Hello Hunnay" show about her emergency throat surgery and the moments leading up to it.
"What I was dancing with was a numb neck because I couldn't feel anything when it was really closing up," she recalled. "My throat was 60% closed. It was numb, but it was closed."

Mai added: "I was literally like gasping for air. I don't want to wake up J [Jeezy] so I crawl out of bed, I go and grab some Aspirin to reduce the swelling ... the Aspirin sticks on the back of my tongue and doesn't go down because there's no hole."
Jeannie has since written that she's thankful to "be 100% back to health," although her workout post did bring a confession: Jeannie has been left "unmotivated and depressed." Fans are likely wishing this fighter all the best.
