Kelly Ripa Addresses Husband's Strange 'Cougar' Comment

Kelly Ripa is going way,way back, posting a childhood throwback that got a strange reaction from her husband. Taking to her social media over the weekend, the 50-year-old "LIVE With Kelly and Ryan" star dropped two adorable shots from decades ago. Showing herself as a small child at Christmas, Kelly Ripa flashed her chubby cheeks while wearing her blonde hair in pigtails.
Smiling sweetly with presents scattered all around her, Mark Consuelos left a bizarre comment that his wife quickly cleared up.
Kelly Ripa has always been a fashion icon, as proved in the TBT she posted on Saturday, December 12. Baby Kelly was seen sporting a classic white sweater with green and pink stripes around the neckline. Perfecting the toddler's tiny Christmas outfit, the star paired her look with green pants and tied her hair in pigtails with matching hair clips. Wearing white socks and shoes, Kelly Ripa clung to her gifts under the lit Christmas tree.

That wasn't the only awe-worthy TBT she dropped. The beloved television personality also made fans swoon when she shared a childhood shot of her husband. In the second photo, baby Mark Consuelos was seen smiling big while riding a fake horse. Holding on tightly to the animal prop with his brother and sister surrounding him, the "Riverdale" star posed for the sweet family shot.
Wearing a white onesie and rocking a head full of hair, Kelly Ripa matched the cute TBTs with an adorable caption.
"#fbf A holiday story. Jersey 1974 Vs. Sardinia 1972," Kelly Ripa captioned the adorable throwbacks. "The little girl holding her shoe grew up to marry the little boy riding his horse. ♥️???." The couples' fans immediately began showing the duo love in the comment section but Mark Consuelos' response threw a few followers for a loop.
"#cougar," the "Riverdale" star replied on his wife's weekend post. Kelly Ripa's followers quickly began commenting with interesting responses on Mark Consuelos's strange "cougar" comment.
Those who know the husband and wife's playful relationship began dropping laugh out loud emojis. Others had questions and theories that Kelly Ripa quickly cleared up. When one person asked Mark Consuelos, "@instasuelos dude!!!! What did you name your horse???" Kelly Ripa addressed the question head-on. "I think the horse’s name was cougar ?," she replied.
Kelly Ripa has been on Cloud 9 ever since Mark Consuelos returned home from filming. The star had been away since August working on the set of "Riverdale."
