Julia Fox Hits Back At Critics Of Her ‘Underwhelming’ Apartment Tour

Julia Fox has responded to negative comments about her modest New York City apartment.
The actress had gotten tongues wagging after she took her fans on a social media tour of her newly acquired two-bedroom, one-bathroom home. Unfortunately, the clip came out at the same time that rumors that she has a net worth of $30 million surfaced online, prompting critics to ridicule her for being cheap. Her inside look at the apartment revealed that she sleeps in the living room close to her friend's ashes, keeping her shoes in the kitchen.
Julia Fox Dismisses Critics' Concern About Her Underwhelming Apartment
Fox addressed the trending social media topic in another video that she posted a few hours ago. After stating that she "really wasn't expecting" her apartment tour "to go so viral," the "Uncut Gems" actress added:
"I just want you guys to know that, like, first of all, I'm not worth $30 million. Not even close. And second of all, I don't give a f**k because I don't need $30 million. What does one person need $30 million for? I've survived on a lot less, and I'm doing just fine."
The Chicago Film Critics Association nominee then went on to assert that the controversy was "really just not that deep" as the apartment happened to belong to her son, Valentino. Emphasizing that the apartment really belonged to the almost two-year-old because that was where she took him after his birth, Fox continued in the TikTok post:
"It's like a sentimental thing. That's kinda why I'm like, even though I could have probably afford a bigger place, probably, because I am in New York after all, it's about having that sense of normalcy for Valentino."
Normalcy for the actress meant that her son could be in touch with "the f**king real world," because she "grew up in the real world, believe it or not." Fox further noted that she does not spend her money or "buy nice sh*t," despite several claims that she "wears thousands of dollars of couture."
She concluded by declaring that it "really warmed" her heart that multiple people could relate to her current living situation.
In case you missed it, the "Ziwe" guest star's apartment tour came in a TikTok clip that she shared in a bid to express "maximum transparency." The Blast noted that she started the show in the living room, which had been remodeled into a bedroom.
Other parts of the home showcased a mirror on the wall — her "nostalgia corner," her small-sized kitchen, and Valentino's room, which she revealed to have taken "the most effort" to decorate.
Fox then mentioned that she had a "small mouse problem," detailing the mouse's usefulness. As it turned out, the small rodent spent the night cleaning the crumbs left on the floor, thanks to her son.
One of the few people who was impressed with the video commented, "I love Fox's budget celebrity thing. Her messy apartment with tubes of half-used conditioner etc. It's relatable. Something I can logistically aspire to."
Another uploaded a mouse JIF with the caption, "the mice in Julia fox's NYC apartment when it hears the platform boots stomping down the hallway."
The 'Paradise' Actress Updates Fans On Her Sleeping Arrangement With Her Two-Year-Old Boy
The Blast reported that "The Great American Mud Wrestle" star shared an odd secret about her relationship with Valentino in the tour clip. She had divulged that she and her baby boy slept in the same bed. The 32-year-old disclosed in the footage, saying:
"He only wants to be in mama's room. He, like, doesn't even sleep in there. He sleeps in bed with me. Yeah, we're co-sleepers."
Even though it is not entirely surprising for kids to share the same bed with their parents, the "Nothing Good" video vixen admitted that it might be unsettling for some viewers. Despite that, the model clarified to concerned parties that she was not bothered by their opinion, saying, "Sue me, I don't care."
You would recall that Fox conceived her son during her short-lived union to a private pilot, Peter Artemiev. The duo had walked down the aisle in 2018, living together in Yorkville, Manhattan, until their separation years later.
Fox and Artemiev's divorce was finalized in February 2020, and they welcomed their son in January 2021.
