Jessica Simpson says she hasn’t been able to turn off the waterworks for close to 24 hours … and for good reason, because the star just announced a huge return to the world of entertainment after dealing with her own personal demons and overcoming the odds to once again end up on top. She’s also set to make millions off the deal, which ain’t bad either. 40-year-old Simpson hit up Instagram on Thursday afternoon, the day after it was announced she had inked a multimedia partnership with Amazon that will see the singer/songwriter/fashion mogul delivering TV projects and published content.
Showing off a beautiful black and white photo of her entire family, Jessica Simpson wrote a long emotional message of thanks to her fans and supporters for sticking by her side on her long journey back into entertainment.
“My tears of joy are unstoppable after yesterday’s announcement of my partnership with Amazon which is my return to the entertainment business after so long!!” Simpson captioned her pic.
She added, “Thank y’all so very much for all of the congratulatory enthusiasm and encouragement over my new upcoming projects.”
The “Open Book” author announced the global deal with Amazon on Instagram this week and explained a bit about what it would entail:
“I am humbled and honored to partner with @amazonstudios to bring my story and heart to life on the screen and executive produce a fictionalized coming of age series about my mid-twenties, a new intimate unscripted docuseries with music as a key component and 2 essays where I will share my soul and perspective while holding your heart close to mine.”
While dealing with her struggles head-on, including an addiction to alcohol, Jessica Simpson is living in the moment of seeing her goals accomplished and also sending love to her family for being by her side along the way.
“In this ongoing journey to myself I have been holding hearts and hands with these soulmates of mine who have supported me unabashedly through my ups and downs. My gratitude to Eric, Maxi, Ace and Birdie is immeasurable. And all of this love from you has me in the clouds floating…and now I’m crying again.”
