Nathan “Doggface” Apodaca is giving back bigtime to his community after becoming an overnight sensation.
Doggface, who became a household name after skateboarding while drinking cranberry juice and listening to Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”, is using his fame for good.
Last week, Nathan and his fiancé Estela Chavez decided to head to Skid Row in Los Angeles (with their masks on) to hand out hot turkey meals to those in need. Nathan, who partnered with Boston Market on the project, handed out meals that came with turkey, corn, mashed potatoes, and cornbread.
The couple surprised The Midnight Mission in Downtown LA by showing up with hot meals for their scheduled dinner. Nathan was unable to serve the food due to restrictions but was happy to help out in any way.
Nathan isn’t done and continues to give back to his community. He recently donated over $25,000 to the Idaho Humane Society. Their mission is, “to advocate for the welfare and responsible care of animals, protect them from neglect and cruelty, and promote awareness and compassion.”
On Thanksgiving, Nathan posted on his Instagram that he was giving away 4 gift bags full of cash and his merchandise. He made it into a treasure hunt for his followers by dropping off the bags at locations around town.
Nathan is having quite the year. Only a few months ago, Nathan was living in a trailer with no running water or electricity. He was working at a potato factory living paycheck to paycheck.
Following his TikTok going viral, Nathan was given a brand-new truck by Ocean Spray , which he already traded in for a 2021 Chevy Suburban. He continues to grow his Doggface brand with merchandise including an Ugly Christmas sweater sold on his official website.
Nathan even has his own electric longboard coming out. He partnered with Lux Longboards who are releasing a limited edition Doggface board on December 12. He even has merchandise being sold in Zumiez stores.
To top it all off, Nathan just purchased his first home for $320,000. He paid the full amount in cash. His star continues to rise with him working with everyone from Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Jessie Reyez to G-Easy.
Nathan, who launched to stardom with a TikTok video skating to Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”, The band’s 1977 song jumped back to No. 1 on the charts after 40 years due to Nathan. Mick Fleetwood was inspired by Nathan’s video and launched his own account with a video recreating the iconic TikTok.
Stevie Nicks got in on the action and recreated her own version of the TikTok. In the clip, the legendary singer sits on a bench while putting on a pair of skates.
Nathan, who goes by 420doggface208, on TikTok has 5.6 million followers on the social media platform. The viral star even got himself a Hollywood manager. Nathan signed with Gina Rodriguez and Anthony Kotzev from Gitoni Productions.
Gina is a celebrity manager and executive producer of “Mama June: From Not To Hot” on We Tv. He is also working with Brandilyn Snail of BMB Talent. Nathan’s star continues to rise with him gaining followers by the minute.
