“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne appears to be doing her best to distract people from talking about the lawsuit accusing her and her husband Thomas Girardi of embezzling money from the families of plane crash victims.
The reality star posted a throwback photo of herself from decades ago on her Instagram. In the shot, Erika is seen posing topless in a field of some sort. She is looking into the camera while hugging herself to avoid any nipple action from being seen.
In the past couple of weeks, Erika has been posting a ton of photos showing her in various states of undress. It would seem she is trying to avoid talking about all the drama surrounding her at the moment.
Many people in the comments referenced Erika’s recent legal troubles and made jokes about her needing to prepare for prison.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star has taken the path of staying radio silent about the massive lawsuit filed against her or her alleged “sham” divorce from Thomas. Instead, Erika has released a generic statement about the divorce and decided to not say a word about the claims she played a role in helping steal money from victims’ families.
The lawsuit was brought by the class-action law firm Edelson PC, who sued the reality star and her lawyer husband. In the suit, the firm says they represent a bunch of Boeing plane crash victims who won a settlement while being represented by Thomas.
They say they did not receive the full payment and believe Thomas used the money to fund his lavish lifestyle with Erika.
In the lawsuit, the plaintiff says Thomas’s law firm is on the brink of financial collapse. They claim he and his firm Girardi Keese “are on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds” and his “need to fund outrageous lifestyles for himself and his soon-to-be ex-wife Erika Jayne” is the reason for their divorce.
Further, the lawsuit calls into question Erika’s divorce filing. The suit read, “While Erika publicly filed for divorce this month, on information and belief, that ‘divorce’ is simply a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom’s and Erika’s money from those that seek to collect on debts owed by Tom and his law firm GK.”
The suit said Thomas, “continues to use that money to find his and Erika’s lavish lifestyle, release personal guarantees, pay down loans, route the money to friends and family and satisfy other outstanding debts.”
Erika and Thomas have yet to respond to the lawsuit in court. The two are currently fighting in divorce court over spousal support. Erika requested Thomas pay her temporary support until the outcome of the divorce. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Erika’s estranged husband is asking the court to terminate her right to support.
