Latto is taking no prisoners this new year!

Since making her way into people's hearts after first appearing on — and winning — the first season of the reality television series "The Rap Game" in 2016, the rapper has been unstoppable.

When she eventually became a mainstream success with her 2019 single, "B**ch From Da Souf," her life became more talked about, whether it was about her relationships or fashion. Her new status, however, has not stopped her from clapping back at internet trolls as she did recently.

Latto Replies Internet Troll Who Came For Her Underwear Over The Weekend

Trouble found Latto on Sunday when a Twitter user came after her for wearing the same pair of panties on two occasions. In the first frame, the "It's Giving" hitmaker donned a pink tracksuit with "Juicy" scribbled on the bottom, with her hand on a bathroom sink.

She paired the fit with pink-tinted sunglasses, a diamond necklace — which she gripped for the mirror selfie — and a leopard print thong. The thong reappeared in the next pic, which showed Latto looking back at the camera while donning an all-denim outfit. Both the cropped jacket and jeans came with furs around the wrist, edges, and sides.

"Can't afford new panties ?," the Twitter user asked above the photos. It did not take long before Latto quoted the tweet with her response that read, "Oh no, it's the panty police," successfully bringing supporters out of their shells on the social media platform.

"Mind you that's a man worried about a woman's underwear," one stan replied to the "Another Nasty Song" rapper. The same person then followed up with a screenshot of the troll's tweet reading, "My AirPods browner than my panties😭😭," claiming that that was "even more embarrassing."

A second person asked, "What's this new trend of hating on latto??" and a third wrote, "I truly hope I never let somebody's existence bother me to the point of monitoring what panties they wear."

A fourth Twitter user said it was "crazy" for anyone to be "keeping track of someone's panties." A fifth observer commented, "My thing is the link sweatsuit pictures are from November… does she not know how many cycles of laundry can be made between then and until now? People are so bored these days I swear 😭😭😭." A sixth person pointed out:

"We all have our favorite pair on panties h*ll I done purchase like 4 of the same ones."

The 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards Winner Cannot Get Over Her Emotions About Working With Mariah Carey

The Blast reported that Latto became emotional when discussing her March 2022 project with Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled. The singer had featured the musical heavyweights on the remix of her chart-topping single, "Big Energy," which sampled Tom Tom Club's 1981 tune, "Genius Of Love," and Carey's 1995 hit single, "Fantasy."

Recalling how it felt to perform the song for the first time in public during the Billboard Music Awards, the 24-year-old singer said, "I keep telling myself, don't cry. don't cry. I did a dress rehearsal and I was watching my footage, and I was already about to cry. I'm like, 'Girl, you better not. You better not.'"

In a separate interview, Latto shared her disbelief — amongst other emotions — that Carey agreed to collaborate with her on a project. "Really big, really big. Huge, like fall out your chair, get back in the chair, fall out your chair, get back in the chair," the "Sorry Not Sorry" rapper recalled.

The Georgia Music Awards winner added that when she and her team initially started talking about a remix, "I was like, 'Mariah, but let me be realistic, that's just a sidebar. I'd love to have Mariah on it, but anyways.' And Mariah's actually on it. That's crazy."

When it came down to working with the "Obsessed" singer, Latto recounted that she was "nervous." In her words, "I was so nervous. I was like what do I say y'all lol but the conversation just flowed and she was so genuine and I definitely was overthinking. We was sipping on her liquor Black Irish and just kicking it fr."

The Atlanta-Georgia native also admitted that the recording process was unusual because they did not "even start shooting til 3am lol, we was shooting content till 10 am." However, the best part for Latto was hearing Carey hit the vocals seamlessly, making her appear more superhuman than anybody else.
